I guess being offended will cease to be such a big deal when those perceived to be right-wing leaning begin to take ownership of the word by simply claiming to be "offended by immigration" or "offended by gay marriage" etc. rather than trying to defend their position with their ...

Last night I saw a post on Facebook saying that breast cancer charities that use shirt like "Save the Boobies" or "Save Second Base" need to be shut down because it was misogynistic. I left a comment asking if it really mattered since the charity was literally saving women's liv...

Because of my autism and very marked developmental delays I never thought I was that smart, but in my 20s I discovered that I had some potential there. It was forums like this and my diagnosis that helped me see it. So, I was never picked on as a kid. Kids didn't pick on the dumb kids back then. I w...

I'm so sorry to hear that is happening to you. I know it's hard but just don't believe what people say. I know I'm older and have built up an immunity to being emotionally abused but I only believe my truth. People have said all kinds of nasty stuff to me but I just block it out. They don't matter t...

Sometimes I can be creative when depressed. I used to write poetry or song lyrics when I was depressed. I really come alive during manic episodes though.

I think mine is due to ADHD. When I take Ritalin I can finally work out long equations, even do mental math for fun. Without it though, I struggle to do basic addition. I was only able to get as far as basic fractions and even that I did badly. By now I have probably forgotten how it works. Same her...

Thought I'd check in here. Still not diagnosed with bipolar. I have all the symptoms though I'm rapid cycling. Going through a depressive episode at the moment, triggered by my current situation. The government wants to put pressure on welfare/disability by advancing a penalty system for not making ...

Socialism is meant to be a transitory period between capitalism and communism. It goes without saying that choosing to adopt that system rather than move into communism will make it fail. Communism can't survive as just being in one country too. Capitalism is just too powerful. It was meant to be a ...

I didn't realise how important labels were to me until last year. I've had gender stereotypes pushed on me all my life so by my late teens/early twenties I decided to give in but I felt fake, like an impostor. Then I realised or admitted to myself I was trans. Because I didn't want any of that expen...

As a kid I hated that they separated girls and boys toys. The girls side was a nauseating sea of pink that I had to cross to get to my preferred toys. Growing up in the 90s people didn't make such a big deal about what I played with (they did a little) but what I wore, what my interests were and my ...

20+ hours of gameplay please game developers. 1 hour levels I guess. I don't mind short ones sometimes at the start. But just give me a 20 hour campaign. So sick of these 10 hour campaigns then everyone jumps into multiplayer. An engaging story is important to me. Because I am a screen writer I like...

2 NT extroverted women have done this to me.

Even when I'm busting I don't demand to be let into the bathroom. I wait, while holding my legs together.

Most of my socialising is on Facebook, Twitter and online games so I find the way people act and talk to be very annoying. It's hard to explain but they don't put much thought into things before they reply. They're often emotionally reactive and communicate through memes and gifs instead of words. T...
