I realise that I'm struggling with the following social situation: disagreeing with someone (about anything really) without it causing a discussion. If someone says something that I disagree with, it seems like there are 2 options: state that I disagree with them, prompting a long but unnecessary de...

I have another explanation: Basically, if we class people into gender categories based on their genitals, there would be a few problems: 1. People typically don't look at each others' genitals, so it would be a bit strange to class people based on something we can't even observe 2. There's a lot mor...

In the UK, Merry Christmas is the preferred greeting in general. Even people who aren't Christian say it (with some exceptions), and it isn't unusual where I live for atheists, muslims, hindus, etc to say "merry Christmas". Quite likely because in the UK, Christmas is less of a religious c...

I personally think that there's no use getting angry about abortion no matter what your opinion. Personally, I'm against abortion, but only slightly against it. I think that people should be careful and remember to use protection, but if someone is raped then they should be allowed an abortion defin...

Oh dear... Sending my sympathy    Have you considered online friends? Or, instead of a group of friends, try looking for just one friend. I don't know your exact situation, but it might be true that your family love you unconditionally.

I think it depends on the culture you live in and the specific friends you have. I have virtually no competition with my friends, we all congratulate each other for what we do etc

I was diagnosed with autism very young (7yrs old) so I got used to it very easily, as most children would I think. Discovering that I'm a lesbian was (a little) more difficult, mostly because I was closer to 14ish in age, and it's more difficult to learn about oneself at that age! Also, when diagnos...

To clarify: the thing about old vs new books, I mean that when I recieve a new book, sometimes I will forget that I've recieved it, so will bring the old one instead. I just see the book with the teacher's name and bring it, then realise later that it's not the most recent.

And of course, some people who belong to the LGBT category still don't see themselves as part of the LGBT community. (though I would personally consider myself part of the community).

Yes, the LGBT community is political, but in my opinion, everything is inherently political. One person's idea of basic human rights (eg: trans people should be allowed to use the correct restroom) is another person's idea of politics (some people think that arguing for trans rights is more of an op...

I have always had trouble with organisation. Meaning that I'm perfectly able to organise things into categories etc, but when it comes to remembering to bring the right things to the right place at the right time, I'm quite bad. Teachers get cross when I forget my homework or my books etc, but I alw...
