I think the Ten Commandments are likely a good starting place. Things get complicated but they would seem a straightforward starting place. Perhaps, though, as you go through life you will decide a few additional Commandments would make sense. You could have your own personal eleventh commandment, ...

The 10 Commandments seem quite arbitrary and not at all like a good source of morality.

Several of them are just about stoking and protecting YHWH's ego, so those ones seem like the easiest to dismiss out of hand.

Is there a better alternative I can learn from?

I am not a therapist. You seem to be talking about how you believe nothing is real. -this is not a delusion, reality is a mental construct. You can choose whether you act in a world that is "real" or not. Honestly I don't know what the difference would be. You for sure will hurt yourself ...

My derealization is severe to the point I have nihilistic delusion. Is this a typical part of my mental illness? I hold firm beliefs that nothing is real and due to history of severe developmental delay, I can't comprehend how most of humans have superior intelligence and discovered and build electr...

According to ChatGPT, this is a simple example of social-emotional reciprocity when it's done right: Sarah : Hey Mark, how are you doing today? Mark : I'm doing alright, thanks for asking. How about you? Sarah : I'm doing pretty well too. I wanted to check in on you because I noticed you seemed a b...

Thanks! ;)

I understand social cues, after therapy and reading body and facial language books, but I lack some aspects of cognitive empathy to some milder degree and feel like an alien.

I started to understand social cues, but I lack social-emotional reciprocity to a mild degree.

Are there any tips to improve my social-emotional reciprocity?

Is social-emotional reciprocity a social skill as well?

I'm glad. Your recent posts were making me nervous for you. I have Schizotypal, Narcissistic and Antisocial mild tendencies after being victimized and abused too many times by toxic groups of people on Discord until recently. I'm learning to ignore politics and side with bad people online. I have b...

The good news, I am more stable by going to a support group for mentally ill people. There I and them talked about coping strategies and helping each other.

I can not vouch for everywhere but here in the U.S.A. the DSM and ICD manuals are guidelines not mandates. Clinicians do not automatically lose their licenses if they use an older manual.

Many physicians (who can and do prescribe mental health medication) are probably much more familiar with the ICD than the DSM-5 since it is what they use for most disorders, and what they probably learned in medical school. That depends a great deal on where they went to medical school and what the...
