Even if we accepted the notion that all people always have the right to their own opinion or interpretation of things (they don't), that means other people get to have opinions and interpretations of you, as well. People can have whatever opinions or interpretations they want - nobody is required to...

The meme is pretty dull really. Looking at it from a pure danger perspective, if all men were replaced by bears, I'm pretty sure the outcome would be obvious. Yeah, it's funny how when you intentionally take things out of context, they make less sense  But lets take the silly premise and run ...

^^ Ah, the old 'escalate, double down and attack' method that you seem to be so good at. I think I'll pass on responding. I don't want to be confused with being the instigator of bad feeling. The irony being, the above comment is itself an escalation, a response, and an instigation of bad feeling -...

Yeah... When it comes to "choosing the right man", maybe it's not that the woman somehow keeps picking the one bad one out of a dozen, maybe it's that it's hard to find the one good one out of the dozen. Or perhaps even the bad ones pretend to be good ones until well after the fact, or jus...

But it wasn't just "some humor" like a random knock knock joke - it was a "joke" that targeted women, and dismisses one of the exact issues being raised - the fact that some men don't take this issue very seriously. Also the fact that some men see a grim topic, and think the solu...

I posit there is a hard wired friend or foe routine hard wired into humans. It is very useful to know whether someone you meet is a friend or foe without thinking about it. IFF Indentification Friend or Foe was developed during WW2 for aircraft. You don't want to shoot down your own airplanes. Ther...

The fact that guys will see a meme about women being assaulted, and respond with a meme about how mean or annoying women are, is exactly why women choose the bear. If a woman runs away from a bear or expresses fear of bears, the bear doesn't go around on social media telling everyone how awful women...

We do have hard wired social responses. Or at least most humans do. No we don't. No such thing :wtg: Humans are not hardwired like that. Not even NTs. This is demonstrated extensively by the fact that feral children don't spontaneously manifest social skills once they're introduced to society, ethn...

The world does not always work the way we think it will.

You may be in for a surprise one day.

Good Luck, I guess.

According to Texas State Law my parents owe me child support for the rest of my life if the court orders it because I am disabled and will never able to support myself. Although you are technically not wrong, you still don't seem to think these things all the way through. First, the court has to ac...

Once you turned 18, your parents no longer had any obligation to you beyond any moral obligation they choose to accept, and if you're gonna invoke the bible to claim that they have a duty to support you, I would remind you that the bible is very clear that the father rules over the son, and even god...

I'm reminded of something I once heard said. Words to the effect of "men who aren't evil know that the phrase 'men are evil' doesn't apply to them". I am single. Ain't found the right lady yet. Being a heathen liberal in the deep south doesn't help. I tend to take some things for granted, ...

I think the division caused by the meme is disheartening to say the least. People seem quick to take offense rather than listen to the concerns made by many women. It’s a hard topic to address if people are going to be so easily bent out of shape over it. That happens a lot when women share their e...

I dont owe my parents anything except respect and obedience. From the sound if things, you don't even give them that. You neither sound like you respect them from the way you whine about them, nor do you seem to obey them very well. That's literally the reason you "might get kicked out", ...

Very few people can legitimately claim that they don't owe their parents anything. People who live off of their parents well into adulthood have no business making such claims.
