struggled with depression all my childhood and youth and most of my adult life. I am in recovery now with only mild symptoms. Family members have committed suicide in every generation as far back as I can trace (early 1800s) in the same family line as autism. Women under age 30 and men over 50. ever... |

I am a confirmed and self confessed geek. I have a huge interest in the geology of the area where I live and collect rocks and fossils, study rock formations and spend a lot of time learning about the ones I find in this area. I am particularly interested in skeletal sponge forms from the Devonian a... |

good question! Too much input makes me "lose" information and recall sometimes, too much stress, anxiety, emotions, likewise. I can lock up when trying to recall something I know I know, or trying to find the right word in conversation... my processing just isn't fast enough in many "... |

welcome, late diagnosis can be healing, but it first comes as a shock to many of us. Everything we thought we knew and understood looks different once we see how autism had its works in the scenes and nobody knew! Take your time, do your best self care , give yourself credit for being a survivor. Li... |

I didn't get started until after 30, and most of the best changes came after I got diagnosis at age 68. Its never too late to follow your best strengths and interests , to find new and better ways to do life. Don't try to force yourself into something that doesn't fit because somebody says "you... |
