Hi everyone. I have been a member of WP for some time now, as well as some nursing-specific boards. Nursing has been a tough road for me, but I stuck it out and had some champions who helped me along the way. Now, as a nursing professor- yes, academia is a good fit for many of us- I had the mixed bl... |

I am not at all offended. I think the name "WrongPlanet" perfectly captures the way I feel... so different from the neurotypical individuals who dominate society by their sheer numbers.
It's not about who's better or worse, just who is more prevalent. |

Krampus, it is actually a more intuitive approach. The best way to describe it would be root cause analysis. We identify problem areas, find specific patterns of problems, and then dig deep into a sample for the root cause.
The IT people pull it all and then we get to make sense of it. |

I am so excited. I have an internship involving looking for patterns within big sets of data. I have my own little office and the guy in the office next door emails me the big sets of data. It's really a cool opportunity. It also has the potential to really help people- it's healthcare related. We c... |

My skin is pretty sensitive but I can tolerate Almay and Clinique. YMMV. |

I was diagnosed as Bipolar about a year ago. It's been between me and the diagnosing professional until writing this. It's hard for me to admit to others. It's nice to write this somewhere that I think people understand. Thanks for reading. Kudos to you for getting professional help and coming here... |

Welcome to WP. I would not hesitate to seek diagnosis of bipolar disorder. I do note some signs in your lengthy post that you might have it. There are indeed medications for it. Untreated bipolar disorder is dangerous. Here in the US there are laws that protect persons with disabilities-- but an off... |

Any kind of filing or sorting. Medical records. Library work. It's not entry level, but medical billing or coding is a good career choice. What does a medical billing do? Billing for medical services. It requires knowledge of several complicated systems that seem to be always changing. It's super-d... |

Neurotypicals aren't a protected class (in the legal sense). Plus, there are so many more job opportunities for those with people skills and the right behaviors in the all-important job interview. |

Good article. I see poverty in an urban context all the time. It's interesting to read about the rural version. If you have kids, read to them and make sure they stay in school. It seems just so obvious to me. When I was little we had no money but I always had my library card in my pocket and walked... |

Is that like the Irlen system? It seems legit. I just ordered some of their products. I found their web site to be helpful in legitimizing the reading difficulties that I have. |
