If anything as well, the pandemic and being in lockdown really made me aware of how much I prefer my own company and my own (+ partner) space. A lot of people I know really struggled, but I loved it, and not having to endure seeing people and putting on a face, and feeling constantly ground down an...

That sounds amazing. I'm quite attracted to quiet towns and minimalism though my husband and i aren't as minimal as we could be, thanks to his job, not mine, but we still live more simply than most people we know. I can relate to never having had much of a future plan, and I'm also hoping to gain a ...

I relate very, very much to the fear that if I go in for an assessment, I'll either feel dismissed or I might be told, nope, not autistic. Turns out you just suck at neurotypical life for no reason. Looks like I'm older than you and while I've had some therapy, autism never came up. Ptsd, cptsd, one...

As to the original question, I don't have an answer but I do think about things like this. I find it encouraging that others do as well. I'm new and was just looking around for posts I relate to. I relate to this. I'm also in midlife and have never felt very well equipped for life on earth. And I do...

Thank you for the welcome! Yes, it's not so much that I feel I'm trying to juggle too much at the moment though i see it sounds that way., possibly due to the holidays which has been a historical source of anxiety even prepandemic. But certainly many times I have felt overwhelmed and still sometimes...

I was interested though I had to scroll quickly and missed part of the article due to the subscription notice :D I did read the bit about the impact on mental health. I really get the toll it takes when you have no way of making sense of your needs and challenges. I also see that Malua has written a...

I'm new and coming to this thread late, just jumping in because it's been informative to read other women's stories. I turned 50 this year and that's still hard to get used to. I don't feel accomplished enough to be my age. I am one of those women who is undiagnosed but learning-- through a lot of r...
