Oh man, so much! Until recently, I felt ashamed that I hated traveling. I love culture, and food, and art, and all of that. But traveling itself is stressful and generally makes me unhappy unless it's a highly curated experience. One time I traveled with a group of friends to Hawaii and we rented a ...

The 1st was a news article the new one was from the research organisation themselves The language may either be just the way the Chinese look at autism, or more likely someone or machine translated to english, so meaning may be lost in translation My objections are not because of translation. It's ...

There`s other articles from science publications backing up the claims: https://english.cas.cn/newsroom/cas_media/202311/t20231120_644736.shtml Looks like US scientists were involved too:- https://247newsagency.com/technology/275781.html It appears they have created autistic monkeys too although th...

Lately I've been reading lots of books about autism, and this one popped up on my feed. The top review is this one from a parent of an autistic girl. https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R4FMN2N1W60RK/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B08D3J8MRL The quote that got me was this one: She is...

As but one criticism here: ASD is a common mental illness in children and adolescents. About one in 100 children has autism, according to the World Health Organization. The mental and neurological disorder is a developmental lifelong condition, affecting an estimated one percent of the population wo...

I'm not sure that typos are really the best indicator of intelligence. They're a decent proxy for care when composing, but not much else. I don't agree with with this. If you're going to question someone's intelligence, then basic spelling and grammar in your native language ought to be a prerequis...

For most of my life, I hid because I did not understand the NT world where my actions were met with the back of a hand. Now, I hide because the sting from the slap makes sense. So how did I get here? About twenty years ago, I realized that something was missing in me. I did not know what it was. Th...

Find weirder friends!

Seriously, there are people out there just like you. You may find them weird, but then so does everyone else in spite of their great qualities. Learn to love people for their quirks in the same way you want others to love you for yours.

Sometimes I feel that my life might be better if I didn't know, because I might not worry as much about it all, but at the same time I think it could have the potential for being worse because I'd feel like there wasn't an "answer" to lean on at times and I'd probably not be able to find ...
