I don't care how many times I've gone straight at this light; I already told you we're taking a different route. Turn right. Turn right! And you're going straight. Why are you so obsessed with habits? Today is not yesterday. It doesn't matter what I did yesterday, or every day before that. Focus on ...

I'm really sorry this is happening but I honestly can't think of any advice. I assume your family knows how much you hate it and do not care.
I can't think of anything helpful to say but since no one else has responded, I will offer my sympathy.

Why do some people try to drive while looking at their phones? When I take my eyes off the road for half a second I start panicking. I won't pretend I'm not addicted to my phone but I could never do that. It's not even just knowing that it's dangerous, it's a visceral need to see what's in front of ...

I don't think so, because energy is required for it to happen. Growing, reproducing, growing again--it takes a lot of energy. It's like how organizing your house doesn't violate the second law because you're using energy to do so. But even if it worked, the problem with that argument is it could ju...

Tomorrow I start my summer job. In my experience these jobs are either really good or really bad.
If it's bad, $15 an hour will never make up for that. My summer will be wasted.
I'm optimistic though.

I cooked vegetable casserole. It wasn't very exciting but it was the first time I ever cooked an actual meal that didn't come out of a box.
I'd say it was a success.

My parents' computer is really old and there are cords everywhere so if I move my leg half a centimeter everything shuts down. I want my laptop but it won't be back for at least a week. :(

Burning fish in the oven set off the smoke alarm. Of course it was while I was in the shower and no one else was in the house.
At this point if there was a real fire we wouldn't believe it.

I cannot just stand on the floor. Anything lying on the floor, old shoes, bags of stuff, pillows, piles of clothes, cat toys, I'm always standing on it (unless it's breakable). If I'm outside I stand on big rocks or tree stumps. Sometimes I'll stand with one foot on a piece of furniture. This drives...

I went into my favorite restaurant and the waiter already knew what I was going to order.
I guess I'm very predictable.

It's pathetic that we won't use metric units in the US.
I, however, work only in metric units, and everyone else will just have to deal with it.
It'll catch on eventually. :)
