Disclaimer: This is about my dad, a few years from retirement age. I'm convinced he has a form of Asperger's. He managed to get by so far, but since I understand him much better now, certain things have become a lot more obvious to me. He does not keep order anywhere, especially in the house, he jus...

It's great to hear you are doing just fine! Did you tell your parents (or anyone else)? What was/do you think would be their reaction? You can get the medicine you need in the public hospital, which is convenient and inexpensive. Which kinds of medicine are we talking about here? Suppose you were in...

Can you explain that better? I understood IsabellaLinton as saying that "WrongPlanet" means that Earth is an NT planet, made by NTs for NTs. It's the *wrong* planet for NDs to be on. This website is made for NDs. If you think of NDs coming to this website, they should be coming to the *ri...

The planet is wrong because it belongs to NTs.
They made it wrong.
Ok but... the wrong planet is out there. This website isn't wrong, it was made for us

Hey, nice to meet you.

Do you mind talking a bit about how ASD is seen in China? Like, do many people even know about it, and if yes, is it 'taken seriously'?
Have you made progress on your professional diagnosis, or is that out of the question?

Thank you for your answers. if someone is specifically causing you emotional trauma because of how you're being treated, you need to confront it. What do you mean by that? Right now, in the past, or in general? What does 'confronting it' mean here? I suspect people who know you will be less surprise...

(abbr. necessary due to char. limit) I was just diagnosed with AS, and haven't told anyone IRL yet. I've read about the "need-to-know-basis" a couple of times on this forum, and I think in general I agree with it. Under that principle, I should probably tell my mother. We haggle constantly...

Thank you for your answer. What do you mean by "beginner links"? Content that talks about ASD traits; medical summaries; helpdesks for people with ASD? Do you also have one to share?

I can relate to that, but I don't recall it listed anywhere as a specific trait. Maybe one can arrive at it through synthesis.

On my phone I have a smiley face instead of number of open tabs indicator, and I have like at least hundred of them: at least ten opened FB pages, several Wikipedias, Wiktionary, Pinterest, Geni.com pages, various ...

Trying to simplify a bit, is there a need to deal with the deniers? I don't try to accomodate to rude and ignorant people, neither do I try explaining planetary movements to flat-earthers. I try to move on and deal with people I think it is worth to deal with.
