Would anyone like to talk about the eclipse more? It's one of my major interests. Now that it's over, my friends are sort of sick of hearing about it. If anyone's interested, I keep a blog about it here. Anyway, I'd love to chat with any other enthusiasts. |

Thanks for the kind words. It means a lot. I'm going through a lot of problems right now, and it made me feel hopeful that I'd have someone there to help me get through it. I guess a relationship isn't exactly a huge priority for me at this point, but it would have been nice. In fairness, I don't th... |

Does anyone know of any resources in Baltimore for adult ASD issues? I've only been able to identify pediatric resources except for the Johns Hopkins clinic at Bayview. Does anyone have experience with them, or can anyone recommend other options? |

Thanks so much. I guess I wasn't really very clear about what I was asking. When you first enter a forum, there's a column on the left titled "Topic". Next to each topic is a little icon. I understand the "sticky" ones, but I'm unsure about the others. Some are like bells. Some a... |

I haven't been in a relationship in about three years. Sixteen days ago, I met a guy. I was shopping, and he asked me about my t-shirt. I was wearing a t-shirt celebrating one of my special interests, and was super-excited to be asked about it. A couple days later I met him on a dating website. I di... |

I agree with Speedy.
I need the world around me to be easily categorized and organized. Machines, computers, the sciences, are all about measureable traits. I am comfortable with those things.
Emotions are confusing because they do not clearly fit into a rigid structure. |

Thanks Aoife! The eye contact is however part of my problem. I really have a hard time doing it, but perhaps with more practice I could learn to get a little better at it. |

I'll start by saying that I cannot stand cell phones. I find the ringtones very distracting and people are often very rude regarding their use. But even worse is the proliferation of Bluetooth and Hands Free cell phones. This sort of thing happens to me almost daily. I will be walking down the stree... |

This has been an ongoing problem for me. There are many places I'd like to travel to, but I don't do very well away from home. I become very anxious, disoriented, and impulsive. Being without my cat is also very challenging. I have a very difficult time sleeping in a hotel bed or anyplace other than... |

It isn't only bars. This happens to me all the time in all variety of service oriented situations. I really resent being made to feel like I've behaved offensively because I was made to resort to raising my voice etc. As for waving money in the air, I suppose it does work sometimes, but most people ... |

I have a large collection of hooded sweatshirts or "hoodies". I wear them year round, indoors and outdoors. In the winter, it's not uncommon for me to wear 4 or 5 of them at the same time. I have them in many different sizes to accomodate layering. I do often find that I'm very cold. My affinity for... |
