I would think that taking your sister would be perfectly fine - the psychologists just want another person's viewpoint\confirmation of behaviour.

My GP gave me the usual crap about everyone having difficulty with social situations etc so I ended up contacting Janine Manjiviona (ASD specialist clinical psychologist) for a diagnosis. I went through my private health insurance, and had to take a few afternoons off work to get to the appointments...

I get yelled at for being so quiet. All they ever do is compare me to my sister and tell me what's wrong with me. Then they keep urging me to find a husband. I have exactly the same issues ( although I have 2 brothers, no sisters) , but because I have a fiance, I get asked when I'm getting married ...

I drink it when I can't stay awake at work. 1 cup of tea is enough, otherwise I can't sleep.

If I have too much, eg. can of coke, then I get the shakes, and dehydration as caffeine is a diuretic.

As an undiagnosed female going through school, apparently I was thought of as a snob as I didn't talk to anyone and didn't socialise with them.

As a diagnosed adult, with a heap of fakery, I think I come across as just a bit weird, and not overly social.

I've had IBS for prob 15 years now - it mainly started when I was a teenager, I thought it was nerves due to school. Wheat makes things worse, eg. bread and pasta. So I eat gluten free pasta, lots of rice, and potato but pretty much gave up on bread. (the gluten free offerings are a bit meh). Someti...

Find a psychologist that specialises in ASD. I've had doctors tell me that "everyone has difficulty in social situations" etc. I've had a psychiatrist tell me that I don't have aspergers, but he then stated that he doesn't know much about it. I went to a clinical psychologist that has worked closely...

I still can't wrap my head around why someone would avoid someone unemployed? If I saw a perfect candidate who was chomping at the bit to get back to work, I would hire them over another one of those this-might-be-a-better-job-but-I-will-probably-still-leave-within-3-months candidates. Because it s...

I'm quite germ phobic and also hate being touched, but I don't think anyone can tell.

(except at family gatherings where I stand near the door to avoid hugs and kisses )

Cats are fairly quiet animals (although there are some whingy talkative breeds) that don't get in your face and jump all over you. They are happy to sit next to you and just chill out. Very low maintenance company animals.

I know how you feel. My mum used to get angry and yell at my dad if anything wasn't they way she wanted it. Made for lots of arguments, and I wish they would have split up. In your case though, I would consider that your mum may be very anxious about the procedure and if anything bad is found (cance...

I agree. I hate them, end up sitting there for hours wishing I was elsewhere.

The worst one was when my OH was in the bridal party, I ended up on my own, bored and anxious.

21. I hate kissing, and tongue kissing is especially revolting. I don't like sharing cutlery or getting involved with other people's saliva, so the idea of having someone else's tongue in my mouth is disgusting. I did actually try it a few times, but ewwwww. (I do really love my OH, its just the ger...

I cannot stand the dry texture of tinned tuna, and the dry texture of chicken breast.
