To nitpick, actually it's the other way around. They would tend advise guys to manipulate women by feigning limited interest, on the assumption that the woman is used to some level of attention from guys. It's a tactic to make them stand out from other guys, who would tend to fawn over her. Of cour... |

Spazz have you ever put aside you feelings or desires for a certain outcome because of how it would affect your parents? If so then that is a good form of love. It does not matter the size of the act. We learn what real love is about as we grow older and have more experiences. You don't have to like... |

Hi Dizzeh, I'm 37 and I have been through that. One of my interests ended up being my career which I'm currently trying to change because while I don't mind doing it in a recreational sense doing it for income is very depressing and I can hardly get motivated to do it at all. This is a problem since... |

I'm 37 and realized my AS about a year ago. I'm starting to understand that the floundering I'm experiencing is somewhat predictable given my tendancies. I'm trying not to put myself into positions that I will eventually lose motivation because recently I have not been able to manage it enough to be... |

My home is my office and it's definately spartan. I did not notice until this thread that I had not hung anything on the walls. I don't have any furnishings besides a bed, couch (which is occupied by my dog) and a frig. no kitchen. The rest of the space is filled with items once usefull for pursuing... |

I agree with some of what has been said but I would add that it is these guys tendency to cause a woman to feel some strong emotion, good or bad, that affects them so much. It's what makes women say that they have chemistry with a certain man. |

I think that melissa is right. Remind yourself how you are treated by people who are respectable adults. If you don't think you can call them out one on one then avoid them. I have done both. A relationship is two sided. That goes for family too. I hope you can stop thinking about them. It must be h... |

Sorry you had a negative experience NarcSav. I think many aspies are easy for NPD's to manipulate. My ex. gf was a narc. I think I didn't see the red flags for bad behavior because my brother is one also. I only found this out because I saw a pattern in both their behaviors. I had grown accustomed t... |

I think most high functioning autistics will get a dismissive response attributing this to more weirdness. I don't plan on telling anyone unless I'm called out on it. mgram, I feel like most of things I have aspired to have taken me much more time and effort to achieve or you could say I don't perfo... |
