Hi, I'll never understood why people want you/me to behave like them. You can learn a lot, but if it doesn't feel comfortable and it takes so much energy that you have to go to bed early or sit in a dark quiet room for 3 days, than it can't be healthy. You should accept eachothers shortcomings in a ... |

I applied for a part-time job at a manned dump site, yet they wanted me to go through a lengthy interview process; required references and a drug test. I wanted to say "are you fuxxing kidding me? This is a job at a dump; when the compactor gets full of trash I press a button and compact the t... |

I have problems making and keeping friends. I'm like the woman who posted before me, only older. I can not seem to be able to read when a person is interested in me or when fed up. I can make conversation. I have learned this during an Adlerian counselling course. I sometimes to a woman who lived in... |

I have never been diagnosed. I had jobs in the passed, I either had to work on my own and or with someone who is very understanding.Group work is out of the question as I usually end up on an island with myself.doing it my way. I find making phone calls difficult and when I was younger I also used s... |

Most people like to belong, even Aspies and PerhapsAspies like you and me. Good for you you found this new diagnosis in the DMS. I personally have doubts about this DMS system. Not that you haven't any authistic traits, no I mean that the DMS is compiled by psychaitrists who aim to put odd people an... |

For me it's uncomfortable, some people have really scary eyes. I usually give them a short glance and then look over their shoulder, nose or anywhere near the eyes. This gives the person the idea you're paying attention and are interested in him or her. |

oh--i see. upon second reading: not for purposes of abortion, but for in-the-womb detection and "treatment." hm. and just what traits would they presume to treat? all? which do they "choose?" why not just eliminate the "humor" gene from the human species, or attempt to "treat" that in the womb. it'... |

I have it when I wake up, there is a melody in my head. Sometimes it's a song I know and sometimes it's a new melody. I can also hear music in my dreams. It's not that there is music playing but I hear it as part of the dream like in a film. |

I have times when I get extremely assertive after being very angry. I walk as fast or drive as fast as I can to get to the place where the person is who I am angry with. Then I immediately say what I have to say and take no prisoners, whether I'm right or not. If the person or persons live too far a... |

But besides that, what I really am is a writer. I've nearly finished the book and lyrics to a new musical. It's based on an old movie, and the movie's producers (who granted me permission to do this) have said, literally, "if we find a composer whose music is as good as your lyrics, we'll have a win... |
