Oh, also I live near San Diego, Ca (and a lot of our family lives in LA) so maybe we can find some kind of secular AA type help. He doesn't like support groups though usually. I've tried to get him to go to one for AS and he says he doesn't like the social aspect. He does like one on one counseling ...

Thank you everyone for your insight and advice. I decided my best option was to leave and leave him a note telling him to call me when he was sobered up from his latest binge. I told him I loved him and our family is very important to me and that's why I had to leave right then. When he sobered up l...

Hello, I wasn't sure where to post this so I just put it here under Health. Hope that's correct. My husband and I both have Asperger's. However we deal with stress very differently. I tend to have meltdowns and he tends to shut off completely. I tend to NOT like to drink, especially when stressed be...

Well, that is probably true. I think for most kids they just go because their parents take them. As for the lizard, I don't think people didn't want it there because they thought it was evil, it's sort of the same reason you can't really take any animals to public places randomly- some people have p...

Well, I haven't played Daggerfall, so I couldn't compare that with the newer ones in the series. I just know that Morrowind and Oblivion are very open compared with all the games I have played.

You should try Elder Scrolls: Morrowind or (even better IMHO) Oblivion. They are AWESOME!

Orange. It makes me happy. I feel more relaxed yet aware when it's around. It also looks best on me, reds and yellows too. But Orange is the one that makes me generally happy just by looking at it. I also like Green. It is soothing, but just not as great as orange IMO :)

I had the same idea, so my husband and I (we both have AS) started going to the nearest Unitarian Universalist church. It is focused on fellowship and just generally being a social place for all kinds of people who want to do good for the community. We've loved it so far. They accept anyone with any...

I don't get the premise of this thread. The OP is downplaying actual rape. Whether he intended to do this is unknown, but the results are the same. I agree. I've noticed this is a common thing lately. People label something basically trivial or not that bad with something truly horrific just to mak...

What's ya talkin about, Willis? I don't really get this? Of course, I never really did get math. 8) I agree. Being selfish is not the same as rape IMO. Also, I am getting really sick of people blaming the fast food corps for "luring" kids. They did the same when I was a kid and I hardly ever ...

I too dated someone in the past who was regarded as "perfect" by all who knew him. He was extremely "charming" and sweet natured. He had many friends, many of them women, who just thought he was a "sweetheart." Very soon after becoming close, he started degrading me- calling me a "weirdo" and "nerd"...

me too. Maybe the difference is showing or sharing something for OTHERS enjoyment. Well that's just it. Even at the tender age of 3 I already knew that I wanted others to enjoy the things that brought me so much joy. I either couldn't reconcile or didn't want to reconcile that others had completely...

me too. Maybe the difference is showing or sharing something for OTHERS enjoyment. I don't do that much, and when others want to talk about something I have a hard time listening. But I have problem showing others my current "project" (whatever it may be at the time. I switch off between special int...

I don't understand

I think it was a joke, acting as if you said, "Schindler's LISP"
It was a play on words I think.
