I have dyspraxia and I know what you mean about the stairs.
I don't know any answers- I am waiting for an appointment with an opthalmologist to have my binocular tracking tested. I am considering coloured lenses if that would help but doing the binocular tracking thing first.

Are you at university in the UK? I am, and I have a notetaker who accompanies me to lectures and seminars due to my social anxiety, plus takes notes (obviously) as I can't process the information and write it down at the same time. I have a Mentor who meets with me once a week (or more if needed). S...

Wolfchik, hope you're okay.
Phone a suicide helpline if you still have those feelings.
It does get better, you know that from your last period of desperation. I'm sorry you're feeling so bad.

In the UK, different professional bodies have taken over Asperger's support needs eg social services, mental health charities, probably others.
I have a trustworthy support worker from a mental health charity.

Bill, why were you supposed to push your glasses back using your middle finger? What were you doing instead? I was new to wearing glasses and I never even noticed how I was pushing them back until I did notice it. In my mind, using the longest finger was the right way to go about it. In my mind the...

I have only worked seven weeks in my adult life, though I have done a lot of voluntary work and courses. Work...

Your friends sound horrible.
Find some new friends if you can. You have every right to be you, and explore whatever interests you have.
Can you get an ASD assessment from somewhere?
Please know the problem in this relationship isn't with you, it's with your petty-minded, know-it-all friends.

You are so rude. You are not the only person in the world to have depression or lifelong depression. Even if you were, trying to make other people as miserable as you are is not the answer.

Speaking of munching on cardboard, do other "skin eaters" also find that they eat a fair bit of paper/cardboard? I find that unless I concentrate, just about everything ends up in my mouth and for some reason I like to eat paper a lot.

I don't eat skin but I ate tissues for years as a child.

Ah, words. Take them within context. I'm not going to expound further. I hope the OP will be all right.

How about looking at the person, not the blood?

I'm very puzzled at your replies. What have I said that upsets you so much?[/quote]

Yes I'm puzzled too.
OP, please get help. Things weren't always feel this bad.

I think it's a balance of accepting your own limitations and having realistic goals but not giving up completely.
I don't know how to do this yet.
