yes, my issue is auditioning everything I've written. rereading it too many times to make sure I like the sound of the total content. every time an edit occurs, I then have to reread the whole thing, so it isn't done until I stop making changes and finish a few rereads of the completed product.

I want to share this because even if he is not an aspie (maybe he is, but I don't have detail enough to try to speculate)-- it contains a lot of very good wisdom on the topic of sticking with something you love to do and seeking to share it with those who should support you. every detail of his stor...

Thanks for making the blog. Right now I'm very interested in aspie as it manifests in the female mind. In one of your entries it states that extreme emotional sensitivity can develop. I know from Dr. Tony Attwood's commenting that there was always observed a more developed emotional reciprocity for ...

It's not wrong to like being by yourself. The best treatment is self-understanding and self-acceptance. You don't suffer from asperger's, you suffer from other people. Loosely quoted from Dr. Tony Attwood. That said. don't give up. There is also value to having people around to do things with. It ca...

Good additional comments here. I was talking about this recently with a few acquaintances online that are theists. Most hardcore theists that I know actually define faith as the object of action. What they mean by this is that you don't act without the faith that it should bring a certain desired re...

I read a book about social thinking (one of the ones from socialthinking.com) and it says that eye contact is an expression, not a literal term. people use their eyes to think about what others might be thinking. the "eye contact" means being aware of the direction eyes point to take it into conside...

can a faithful attitude be good? certainly. faith can be a very simple propaganda tool that is used to tell people it's ok to trust something that is completely unpragmatic. i've noticed propaganda machines taking control of the concept and using it as part of their persuasion agenda. at the root, i...

I make myself "check in" from time to time during a conversation. This is pretty close to the actual purpose of eye contact. I read a book about social thinking (one of the ones from socialthinking.com) and it says that eye contact is an expression, not a literal term. people use their eyes to thin...

It does sound to me like your symptoms at that time were likely just from fear in that home environment. That can really f**k a person up, I know because I endured it too, I was constantly beaten up and sexually harassed by 2 older stepbrothers from age 9 to 14. If you feel like you "seek" people an...

I'm in agreement with a lot of you. god didn't make sense to me as a kid. i was really swept along though by the forced participation. i would call myself persuaded by it due to susceptibility! i find it mythologically interesting but have always felt that an omniscient being would have to lack free...

indeed, the diagnostic definitions aren't that helpful in the process of self discovery.

don't study the forum, please read up from experts in the field, first stop should be the complete guide to asperger's syndrome by Dr. Tony Attwood.
