I have this problem that when a person is speaking to me and telling me a story, I always reply back with one of mine own, making theirs insignificant. I'm 16, my language is fluent and I still run, pace, bounce my leg jump and flap around along with noises which - according to my mother - make me sound 'mentally challenged'. I find that it helps provide an outlet for my emotions.
Perhaps, you could try to encourage more subtle stims. |
