What I dislike about being as Aspie is:
The extreme social anxiety, I just started taking Buspar and so far, so good.
Inability to handle loud and sudden noises.
The feeling that I'm on the outside looking in. |

I have a 5 1/2 year old holland lop rabbit named Sammy.
He is a wonderful rabbit and I love him a lot. He calms me down and I can't imagine my life without him. |

I will NEVER have children.
Yesterday, my family and I had people over and one of the couples brought their baby over. All he did was scream and cry. They need to invent baby Benadryl to shut them up. I don't mean to be harsh but I can't stand kids and babies. |

I understand what you are getting at in terms of empathizing with people you like better than people you don't like. If I hear about something that happened to someone I don't like, I don't care, I could care less.
So I understand you and what you are saying.

| I would have to say "No" because I have Aspergers first, then I have OCD, various anxiety and social phobia disorders, and some depression. As long as I meditate and exercise regularly, I am fine. I can keep the anxiety and depression at bay. |

| I concur with the above posters who claim that making eye contact hurts and is unnatural. Making eye contact just feels weird and awkward. Either I stare too intensely or I don't look at them at all, Or, I look at them inapropriatley. |

How I self-medicate is to do my meditation tape, listen to music, surf online, hug my rabbit, and watch a good show on tv. Also, I try to exercise or take walks outside in nature.
