My sense of humor is usually very vulgar and "deranged." It gets me into a lot of trouble because I guess I don't think vulgar things are... That vulgar. That, or I'm blunt and sarcastic, usually having to explain to people that I'm joking.

I'll probably forget it tomorrow though, but apparently “thank you” doesn’t mean “that was a good meal.” It means “I’m grateful you took time out to make me food.” So even if the food was sh***y, you should say thank you.

Sexuality will probably always been an interest for me so I don't really count it when I'm talking about my special interests. It's what I plan to build my career around. Right now they are: Music of the indie rock persuasion. (Too bad I only have 2 GB of space left on my iPod.) School shootings. Pr...

I'm awful with names. I've forgotten the names of people I've known for years, and I forget my own middle name regularly. I'm the same way. Unless I see the person everyday for a long time, I won't remember their name. My uncle, for example, I've known him since I little but I only see him once a w...

I startle very easily but I don't really yell, I mostly just stumble backwards. But it's at the simplest things, like someone closing the door or the tree scratching on my window. Or people unexpectedly walking up behind me.

Besides random pushes and shoves in the hallway, the only physical bullying I ever encountered was a girl throwing a call full of pop at my head. That barely even bothers me now. The things that bother me are more trans and homophobic slurs and things about how I'm going to kill someone. (When I was...

I too have the same problem. I think it is related to the same difficulty I have with listening to people and not understanding what they say. Perhaps some working memory impairment or attention deficit problem or both. Sometimes that happens to me too, but usually only when someone gives a speech ...

I don't know what this is or if it has to do with AS, but I have this thing where if I'm reading long text (articles, posts on a forum, I remember this happening when I got workbooks in high school.) I'll read the beginning of the text and by the middle, I'll forget what the beginning said and get c...

Because I only had three friends during middle and high school, I can't say I got along with females or males more. Two of the friends were female, though they were both tomboyish. And of course, one of them was a guy. I was always closer with him because he didn't always want to gossip. He just wan...

I guess in the 9th and especially 10th grade I really looked for attention. I wore weird clothes, a black tutu and rainbow stockings. People forever knew me as the tutu girl. After I got on prozac in the summer before 10th grade, I started being hypomanic and acting out at school. After 10th grade, ...

I've only been to one actual "party." I've been to lots of gatherings where everyone is smashed but they keep drinking. I like those because nobody expects you to make small talk, the only thing I don't like is obnoxious drunks. I'm more of a giggly drunk, I just laugh a lot and make dumb jokes. At ...
