Having worked on a psychiatric unit for 30 yrs, I know there is nothing more debilitating than this disorder. Have any of you p...

We applied for assistance at OPWDD to get him help in jobs ETC. We were visited by a social worker that documented Caleb's history. We then went to a work...

My wife had multiple miscarriages in her previous marriage and had 2 with me. I thought she would give up but said "one more try" after some acupuncture. She finally got her boy and has been the most wonderful mother EVER. I thought when we had KK it might have been a mistake- but when I s...

Our son ,who is diagnosed with aspergers, has been showing symptoms of OCD and other symptoms. He ,today, used the bathroom and as he flushed the bowl-he started to reach into the toilet until I said NO. I then asked him what he was doing, he said "I thought Maysey (our cat) was in the toilet. ...

Well, here is summer and Caleb has no friends. He is a beautiful Aspergers boy who could be a true friend to someone. His "weird" way of interacting has left him with no one. He will keep pursuing friends because he is very courageous but his failures make me ready to cry. How can I help h...

Oliveoil, Caleb is much too spiritual to take the approach of striking back. He won,t even retaliate to name calling by calling a name back. He says "2 wrongs don't make a right" I.E. He is of the turn the other cheek model. My 1st boy who is 25 years older than Caleb learned not to put up...
