Forum: Women's Discussion   Topic: Do women ''have to'' pluck their eyebrows?

I mostly just tweeze the stray hairs underneath my eyebrows. Most of my family has absurdly narrow eyebrows so I'm being careful to make sure my eyebrows don't end up like that.

I don't think anyone should feel like they have to tweeze their eyebrows, though.

You definitely aren't being oversensitive. Kitchen jokes and any other sexist jokes are terrible. You won't be able to avoid them entirely on YouTube though... trolls post everywhere on any type of video. I don't really have anything to add to this discussion other than try not to let them ge...

I have fibromyalgia. I have constant pain all the time. I take meds for it but it doesn't completely take the pain away. It is mainly my neck, shoulders, and back that hurt. My mom has fibromyalgia as well. But she has this long list of health problems it hurts me. Everything with her is real to th...

My hair is normally in a ponytail ... although I do sometimes wear it down. Whenever I have to take notes or something in school I have to put it up or else it's distracting to me. Every now and then I'll just wear a hat too (if it can fit my ginormous head, that is). Mostly it's just boringly done ...

While I'm glad people got back on the thread it makes me sad others have to deal with it too... It's just a major pain in the butt.

Do any of you that have fibro (or other painful chronic illness) think that your sensory issues are worse now after developing it? I know for sure mine have ...

Along with Asperger's I also have fibromyalgia. Is there anyone else out there that either has this combo of issues or Asperger's and a chronic illness? I'd love to get into contact if you do to talk about struggles and whatnot, because it does present unique challenges. :) Hope it's a decent day fo...

Oddly no. I've never been complimented on my eyes. For some reason there are always compliments on other things ... maybe the fact I wear glasses is the issue.

It's both, but definitely more awkwardness than anxiety. I only get social anxiety when I am thrust into a bad social situation on the fly. But I'm almost always socially awkward no matter what.

It depends what type of Thanksgiving you have to deal with I guess. Mine was about a 4 hour party where there was nowhere to escape. I had to talk most of the time ... I proceeded to sleep 12 hours the following night. :P That was my solution, but I know that's not viable for everyone...

I care very little about my physical appearance. There are way more important issues that I have to consider before how I look. But I'm weird like that...

The only reason I carry a purse is because I have heavy books that I need to take to classes - and with the weather turning winter-y, they stay safer in a bag than if I just carry them in my arms. I'd prefer just carrying things in a small bag but the books won't allow me to do that. I don't like ba...

I think that regarding the social media expectation mentioned above, it's been both a blessing and a curse. The blessing is that it makes life easier for Aspies to find friends online and chat without having to use something restrictive like the phone. However, the curse is that I've had people shoc...

Boy have I gotten this one a lot and totally relate. Strange fact is the only people who've told me this are women. They say if only I wore gobs of makeup to cover up my acne ... got contacts instead of glasses ... wore my hair down instead of up ... wore what's "in" instead of whatever the hell I w...

Definitely a feminist through and through. (Also a masculinist too by definition; they go hand-in-hand.) I believe in equal opportunity for both genders (like the ability to take equal paternity and maternity leave - the system for that is pitiful in the US) and getting rid of stupid gender stereoty...
