I have attended special ed classes and some mainstream ones at Yorktown high school in Arlington, Virginia for three years. For all that time I was treated indifferently by the school administration. It's agonizing... it is totally exhausting but I guess it's worth it as I've improved a TON since my late teens at appearing fairly normal to most people (unless you get me on an off day). It's been quite a journey getting here but I think at almost 24 years old I'm now able to blend in much better...

So far, from what I've seen the media doesn't even recognize the Autistic rights movement they are completely one-sided and completely ignorant on the issue. Is it just the local politics of where I live, (I live in British Columbia Canada) or am I just being naive about the success of the movement...

There have been several studies that show that neurofeedback is probably efficacious for conditions such as Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD. Since medication hasn't worked for my child, I am seriously considering neurofeedback as one of the promising alternatives to try. i would recommend against it. ...

in all seriousness they do but scar tissue forms over, which slows signals down. Thats why people who do themselves brain damage like drug addicts think slowly.
