I think it was okay for your boss to ask when you were going to go on maternity leave. Managers really need to know these things ahead of time so they can work out the shifts for when you're going to be gone and possibly hire another employee to cover you if needed. ____ On forums, people ask those ...

Just tell your parents that Islam spoke to you more than whatever your previous religion was.

They may disagree with your beliefs, but they will adjust to them in time if they love you. =)

Probably because "Asperger's" is not synonymous with either "antisocial" or "introvert."

I never implied that it was. :P

I was responding to the people discussing whether introversion makes one's score higher.

One interesting behaviour I found was that if there are paved pedestrian pathways, NTs will avoid grassy areas at all costs, even if the pedestrian pathway does not draw a straight line to where you want to go. This is true even when the grass is dry. Several reasons for this: 1) Grass doesn't thri...

Talk to him about what he's doing wrong in a nice way. If he is an aspie, he likely has difficulty reading your body language to know that everyone finds his behavior annoying. Just let him know what you think and ask that he stop doing the things that you find annoying. If he continues, then don't ...

It was disrespectful because of the way it could be interpreted. If I saw what you wrote on a sign about a missing person who had died, my first impression would be that the person who wrote it doesn't really care much and might even be disgusted that everyone is making such a huge deal over the dea...

It's not really what you ask that is the problem, but who you ask it to, when you ask it, and in what context you ask it. I'll try to answer your question the best I can as an NT, but please keep in mind that it's difficult for me to imagine not having this "sense", and my description might not be t...

To me, having good eye contact with some people but not others seems to be a sign of social anxiety. This is how social anxiety manifests itself in NT's and is why some people make the assumption that everyone with autism is shy after hearing the symptoms. I am NT and experience what draelynn mentio...

I'm pretty sure I'm NT, and I certainly don't have as detailed memories as you have from that early in life. My earliest memories are from what I was 2 years old as well, but they only consist of bits and pieces and important events. I can vividly remember being in the hospital when my brother was b...
