This is a new virus for humans, so our bodies aren't programmed to recognize and attack these enemy germs when they invade. It takes time for the body's systems to recognize and then deal with such an unknown enemy. To further complicate things, this germ doesn't make you show symptoms for longer th...

Quarantine? Quarantine?! What quarantine? I have health issues that keep me at home almost all of the time, and I am an introvert who lives alone, so this is normal for me. Thanks to having been without power for over 5 & 1/2 days at the beginning of 2005, due to snow and ice storms, I developed...

You probably like the game Mad Libs, don't you? I used to play that a lot with my sister when we were growing up, and young adults. We live too far apart to play together now. It was a really fun, and educational game. A couple of other games we liked to play were Trivial Pursuit, and Password. The ...

Several years ago I joined Facebook for about 3 weeks because I thought it would help me access TV shows without my having to sign up with paid TV streaming services. I was able to watch one or two shows thru the sight, but only with great difficulty, so I deleted my account once I saw how useless i...

I have always done this, mostly to organize my thoughts, but also to help me remember something until I can write it down, and sometimes to organize, or work thru my feelings on something. I mostly do it when I'm alone, but sometimes when I am around relatives, and for some reason it does bother the...

There are a couple of simple solutions for dealing with anyone who wants to practice eugenics on special needs people of any kind, and on anyone who isn't part of the norm. First, immediately expose these cockroaches in the media, and immediately complain to the government, and to any supervisory or...

I'd like to suggest that caregivers of any kind who need to take their people outside, like for walks or to run errands, wear an armband with a red cross on it, and see that the information about wearing the armband is publicized in the newspapers, and on TV and radio, so that the police and public ...

You need to do a few things: - Distraction therapy--do things that distract you from wallowing in misery. - Health--get more sleep, eat better, and get exercise. - Take mood-boosting supplements, including B complex, vitamin D, and vitamin C, and take them at higher than recommended doses, but raise...

I've suffered with chronic depression most of my life. I gradually found coping methods that helped. You have to find things to distract you, like music, reading, watching funny TV shows and movies, gardening, hobbies, etc. You also need to get enough sleep, improve your diet, and get some exercise....

I do this all the time. Once I run out of the item(s) involved I start eating something else, and will eat that till that's all gone, and then start over doing the same thing with the next group of foods I pick out for a meal. I seldom interrupt the process by eating something else for a meal or two...

In the case of electrical storms, lots of people can feel the electrical tension in the air leading up to the storm, and also the increased humidity, too. In the case of non-electric rain or snow storms, not so many people can sense those coming, but there's still a good many who can. I can often sm...

Basically, when people on the spectrum "mask", they become actors, and the role is to act as much like a "normal" person as possible. This includes suppressing stimming, and other behaviors that bother the norms. Because masking is very draining mentally, emotionally, and physica...

It would never occur to me to be deliberately nasty to others unless they were being nasty to me, first. The news often has stories of people who have done awful things, and after reading or hearing the stories I just can't understand why these people have been so awful to other people. I am not pro...

I'm not into having friends. When I was young the other kids abused me, so I came to prefer being by myself at an early age. As an adult I still prefer my own company, and I also don't care to be pressured into meeting the demands of others, and I'm also not good at meeting those demands anyway, so ...
