No, I never developed a taste for putting stuff on my face. I don't even like the feel of moisturizers on my face, but will use it on rare occasions, when I feel it's necessary. I also don't want to spend the time, the effort, and the money on it. Also, all the face paint in the world won't make me ...

If someone's advances are non physical, ignore them, or in a job situation, report them to the boss or human resources. If someone gets physical, and won't stop after being told to, then you need to physically rebuff them. That's the only way to get across that "NO" means "NO" to...

Yes, Asperger's is part of the autism spectrum and I've suffered my whole life from each of the items you mentioned. They are common afflictions for those on the spectrum, but not everyone on the spectrum suffers from each of these items, and there are undoubtedly some on the spectrum who don't have...

I agree with some of the other posters that you should start with dietary changes. Also, when you are going to be out of the house for a while wear disposable incontinence undies. They are for both bladder and bowel issues. If you don't want to be seen buying them in stores, have them delivered to y...

I've never had problems cooking till my health went. Now my bad knees and bad back make it very painful to stand by the stove or oven to cook stuff, and then I have the same problem standing by the sink afterward to clean up the cooking mess. I have occasionally burned stuff, but usually managed to ...

I won't use nasal sprays. I was often sick as a kid, and early on I was sometimes treated with nasal sprays, but my fussing must have gotten thru to my parents, because they finally stopped trying nasal sprays on me. I absolutely can't stand the feeling of the stuff in the sprays hitting the back si...

I always wash up after using the bathroom. I also carry pocket wipes when out on errands, as sometimes the soap dispensers in public rest rooms are empty.

I've suffered from weak bladder control my entire life, but for most of my teen and adult years it wasn't too bad. Then I had a complete hysterectomy about 14 years ago due to cancer. It cured the cancer, but several years ago I started having bladder problems again. I think that without the girl pa...

Glad you are feeling better. I had low immunity to colds and flu bugs till sometime in my 30s, and still managed to get real sick occasionally after that. I take immune boosting supplements now, and seldom get sick any more. One year, when I was in high school, my older sister brought home a series ...

Sorry to hear of your loss. You did the right thing in loading that video tune to watch at that time, as it helped you thru the initial grieving phase. My mother fell and broke her hip in 2003, and had to go to the hospital. Because of other health issues they couldn't do much for her, and over the ...

I've been in my new home a year now, and it still feels like I'm in a new place. I like it here. It's a handicapped accessible apartment, with grab bars in the long step-in shower, and also by the toilet. There are a number of other such features here, as well. With my health issues I need such a pl...

I love the smell of oranges, but can't drink OJ because it upsets my stomach. I'm not really into salads, but make myself eat it some of the time. I live alone, so I put the the pre pack bags of store bought salad into the freezer to keep them from spoiling before I can finish eating them. This way ...

There is a simple treatment for once you are starting to have a panic attack. Carry a paper lunch bag around with you, folded up in your pocket or tote bag. When a panic attack starts, and your breathing changes, open up the bag and breath into, and out of it for a short time. What many people don't...

I love old radio shows. I am a night owl, and discovered by accident that several radio stations in range of a place I used to live had late night broadasts of old radio shows. Before that I didn't know that they were available outside of tapes at the libraries, or bought as collections from the sto...

I didn't know we introverts had our own day. Glad to hear it. Much of what's in the poster's list applies to me. I kind of laughed over the part about being left alone for hours or even days. Try months! While I was living in a trailer, before my health issues got too bad, I generally had almost no ...

Since there is a definite divide over this set of issues within the Methodist Church, it makes sense to me, and to them, apparently, to separate into two different churches based on the basic Methodist doctrines, with the new church adding their own spin on sexual issues. Regarding celebacy, which w...
