Dumb question .. how do you get a teen to date his work? He has a stamp pad in his pencil case but he won't think to use it (out of sight - out of mind). Any clever ideas? I almost think he should do this every night as homework lol

My son is high functioning and in a learning support program designed for students with learning disabilities. Your strategies sound great and something I'd do too .. but with him, he doesn't take initiative to avoid forgetting things (something we're working on). He doesn't have a game-plan just ye...

He often forgets things .. pencils, crayons, text books, etc
What do you do to help you with that? I know the files aren't great for that..

Ok. I spoke with my son about the accordion folder and he seems to be interested in it. I just hope it's not going to get his pages all crumpled up. I'm also going to buy those 3-hole notebooks that has a clean tear for assignments that need to be handed in. Then, he can just add them into his folder.

Are they big enough to fit lined paper without having to fold it? I'm not sure how that would help .. unless you are superb with your organization skills ;) I'm just thinking about my son's desk (got rid of it) .. full of crammed papers and crap!

What is the best way to organize a binder? My son is in high school and his papers keep ripping out of his binder. We've been using hole protectors but they're useless and it's as if every lined page is being ripped out. My son says he's not doing it on purpose but it's getting overwhelming. Any ide...

2) you can grow your own garden I can't. I don't have dirt in my yard. It's all blacktop.. Grow them in pots. We started buy beer/wine barrels and making our own boxes ground up because for whatever reason, anything planted in the ground was not growing. We grow all sorts of things and you can too ...

I didn't actually answer your question, I don't live in a food desert, but the way I eat, I don't think you specifically would think of as healthy. I'm not hesitant to eat genetically modified foods, I consume soy, I don't eat any meat/eggs/dairy etc. and I do garden and all that, but it's not real...

I think you can work around these issues: Lettuce: try spinach (raw or cooked), cabbage (fermented), or any other leafy green Meat: cut off the fatty parts and cook it in water. You can at least still have the nutrients from it Potatoes: Try plantains, squash, pumpkin (seasonal) mashed cauliflower, ...

I would want to create my own trans organizations with my own philosophy and work to better serve the trans community, Go for it. You can apply for grants for this type of thing. I'd look into it and start something yourself. How would you make it any different from other trans-communities? I know ...

Can you redirect your tapping somewhere else? Like on a quiet surface (leg, arm, etc)? You may not be able to control the action but you can control it's environment. EDIT: Self-stimulation. Repetitive movement.. a function related to sensory input. So you can say, "Sensory input" instead of "stimmi...

I didn't read the article but I'm going to say yes and no. Is it easy? Yes because: 1) you know where to buy wholesome foods for a reasonable price 2) you can grow your own garden 3) tap into your farmer's market 4) eliminate costs by avoiding non-nutritional foods (sugars, grains, preservatives, e...

My son is 13 now so it's been a while since I was pregnant. I'll do my best: Do the cravings start early in the pregnancy and last throughout? Yes Can you ignore the cravings easily? Not always If you give in to them can you stop eating the thing you crave easily? No Would you go out of your way to ...
