Isn't it cute that the most significant part of Obama's legacy will be something that he had to cram down our throats without letting anybody address the pros and cons?

The disparity in conviction rates for violent crimes between the major races in America is too large to be explained by sampling error, particularly wrt. murder. I believe it is largely or entirely explained by sociological factors (such as the relative poverty and poor education of African America...

Sure the statistics may show how black people commit crimes more often than whites But they do not. To find out if blacks and whites commit crimes at different rates, it would require much more information. The only measure that we have access to via the previously mentioned statistics is the amoun...

He is saying people think black people are criminals because black people are criminals. He's just dancing around a fairly straightforward racist argument.

It’s not acceptable to cite aggregate statistics to support the idea that black people are more likely to be criminals. As presented, without context and any further analysis or additional data points, it serves no purpose but to confuse the issue in a way that shields racism from critique. I’m not...

I don't see how an entire region of the world can be entirely evil....I suppose I figure its better to care about more important realistic things. Such as government corruption and poverty as well as ways of potentially reducing/eliminating those for example. I certainly care about issues here and ...

Yeah... but some people too, though.

Can Poland even afford to lower it's taxes? I mean if they do, do tax cuts they should do a steep cut for the rich and end deductions/ write offs for the middle and lower classes (if not raising them). Tax cuts only work if targeted at the rich and business, because it will encourage them to invest...

As with many conspiracy theories, this nonsense about "Operation Jade Helm" serves only to obscure a much more terrifying reality. The worry is that there will be a military takeover in the Southwest US. But why should that concern us? Who is "in power" now? Are they acting in ou...

Sounds horrible. It smacks of pandering to business interests. I'm sure certain people would make money right away. But a lot of people would lose their jobs for no reason, and the economy would slow. Unless the size of the bureaucracy was insignificant as a share of the economy... but what would th...
