In my early teens i tried out a few languages for fun, mostly dead languages, latin, ancient greek, anglo saxon... i tried russian once but didn't get too far. I used books for all of these and really enjoyed it for a while, especially ancient greek, but lost interest....am thinking about looking in...

I have had tantrums on and off, not very often but when i do they're big!! ! I will yell, see red and forget what i do and that burst into tears. They can be quite scary.
More usually though i just get very irritable and bad tempered when i get over stressed or overloaded.

I'm good at music, taught myself classical guitar at a young age, i am not so good with music theary but have something of a feel for music.... As for writing, that's my real talent, i'm good and very imaginative, though i have very narrow interest as to the type of writing i do ( fantasy and scifi)...

I certainly neither heard nor thought about social cues, personal space etc before i found out about AS. And i too have checklists in my head for social situations.....that's why i can muddle through if i know the social norm but get in big trouble if i don't know the 'script' of a new social encoun...

When i was a kid i deffinantly played around with languages, having always loved made up languages and codes. And me and my friends would invent specific ways of talking, slang words personal to our group and also invented alphabets in which we would write notes at school. I'm not sure if it is a AS...

Funnily enough my doctor was absolutly find about referring me and arranged it straight away, however the mental health team where i live refused to even see me....go fingure....and this was with a detailed list (aspie style) of my symptoms and things i could remember from my past......and yes it is...

I find eye contact very uncomfortable, especially with people i don't know well. I'm better and more relaxed about it with family and friends. I always thought i was kind of shy, because i was so awkward around strangers and never liked to look or talk to them....but now i'm pretty sure it wasn't sh...

I'm really good at watching films, i always keep track of the plot and whats happening. Though i often don't get imagary and hate films which seem to have some deep, meaningful point.....to subtle for me i'm afraid. I zone out when i'm ocncentrating hard, when i'm thinking about something or when i'm facing sensory overload, too much noise, too much or too little light, to many people etc. Its a problem in that it makes me loose track of time and i will ignore people without realising it etc. But usually i can ...

I've allways had this problem, socialising is vry tiring after a few hours and i will zone out or desperatly want to go home, i will also freeze and move away from the others in the room in an effort to relax. In places like clubs and pubs ( which i hate and rarely go too) toilets are a great place ...

I tend to keep my own emotions to my self, i've always done this, i don't like dicussing my emotions with other people and don't see why i should. This can make people think i'm stand offish or uncaring. I will sympathise with others and can react to social situations i recognise like some spliting ...

I love my family and always have, i get on well with my parents and had a very relaxed upbringing. My parents let me be myself which was really nice. My family is very eccentric, so its easier for me and i don't stand out so much. Saying that though, i still get tired if i have to see them and pseak...

I'm really not sure where i'd class myself, in online tests, i usually score towards the higher end. But i've never seen any doctors or seem to have any of the problems with depression etc. that people with AS are supposed to be prone to.
