For a theist (at least the flavor that I happen to be), God is the source of all truth and beauty. I probably wouldn't have put it as "the Fibonacci numbers are godly", but they are beautiful and true, so I think describing them as like 'fingerprints of God' (as in the thread title) is reasonable. ... |

High gini score means high inequality have another go at it with that in mind. If supply-side economics worked countries with high gini scores would also be richer. They aren't so it doesn't. Now do you get it? Sorry Jakob, maybe I'm being really, really dense here... The graph doesn't seem to dist... |

So you make up a bunch of lies about people being murdered for burning american flags or bibles and then defend murders and terrorists because it's not their fault they murder people, they are the poor persecuted victims here. That's the thing - if they did have faith, it wouldn't be tested by peop... |

Supply side has no interest in equality as an outcome, only economic growth. Why should there be an equality of outcome? There is no equality of productivity. ruveyn what is prbably meant is equality of outcome given identical enviromental and personal variables. it does not implicitly mean equalit... |

I'm not sure why I bother, I'm not a particularly good debater and ignorant hateful people will be ignorant hateful people no matter what. PS. Christians not going around murdering people in the name of god for any reason that passed their fancy that day is a rather new concept, only a few hundred ... |

Submission by Theo van Gogh.
Theo was murdered because of this film and Ayaan Hirsi Ali has spent all of her life since in safe houses with a close protection detail.

Capitalism is excellent at rationing scarce goods as soon as the supply becomes problematic the price shoots up and people think long and hard about if they really need the product or not because of the price signal. Compare the productivity of socialist an d capitalist economies.; For example the ... |

Do the kibbutz count or does it fall foul of 'communal property' as a concept even though some went to the extreme of not even owning clothing. How many Kibbutzim are currently in operation? Socialism is a better system for rationing scarce goods than market based capitalism. Market based capitalism is better for increasing the supply of goods and services. Whenever rationing must be imposed socialism is a system that gives a sense of fairness. Everyone (in theory) is equally screwed s... |
