Agreed on the aspie society. :) Unfortunatually, it would have to be aspie from birth, not influenced by trying to learn to live amoung NTs. Oh, and the parents couldn't either. A lot more work and money than I think we have for somethig like this :x

A world of people like me is something I've always wondered. Would it be easier or harder? As a teenage girl everyone expects me to begin becomeing obsessed with boys, not science. They say that soon I will be. In an aspie world where maybe there was an aspie family who liked math, and that one NT d...

One thing I'm sure is always being argued is whether ASDs are disabilities or merely differences. I myself am unsure, but I'm not here to ask THAT opinion. Actually, let's just assume right now they are differences. If so, do we really not understand body language or do we have our own? I've been to...

Is it possible to have Aspergers, ADD, and OCD? I'm only officially dianosed with Aspergers, and of course the depression/anxiety doesn't help  Recently I've been showing sypmtoms all three. Like i said, the aspergers is official, but not the other two. Are they just symptoms of AS or am i real...

Just a note to everyone to include any character, book, movie or otherwise. I should of thought of that when I made the title but didn't. Oops.

I'm pretty sure we've all read books with characters we identify with. Sometimes this might be from slightly aspie relevant traits for me, and there are book and movie characters out there who show some Aspergers symptoms. For example: after reading Sherlock Holms, I noticed he practically screamed ...

Adopting a certain way of acting because of being in the same place for an extended period of time (like the mirroring) is completely different from catching a disorder (impossible). You tend to not be bouncy happy around a sad person, it doesn't mean you've "caught" their depression.

My mother stresses that I look funny, I talk funny, I walk funny, and because I'm different i have to change. How come when we're little everyone talks about treating others nice and we're all special and different, and then we get older and if you don't fit this exact mediocre category you are shun...

I'm told I'm really serious, which I don't understand because half of what I say is a wry comment. Is it just this impression I give? People also say I have a scientist look, which I don't understand. What does a scientist look like? I don't wear a lab coat.

I have almond eyes. I'm trying to think of any other features I've seen in fellow aspies, but I know very few and am not around them that much. As far as expressions go, some face I make and that I've seen on another guy with Aspergers a lot is really slack facial muscles, like the NTs are poised to...

How do you make a good NT mask?

I feel like the plaid zebra the rest of the herd avoids because I alter the pattern. Some deep involuntary instinct. How do I look more normal?

Yeah, my family's always getting after me for looking blank. Just because I'm not showing emotions doesn't mean I don't have them, but I still have to manipulate a lot of facial expressions. The only one I can say I've truely perfected is one I either use in "I'm scared", "Seriously, that's so pathe...

Okay, sorry guys, but prepare for the monologue. First of I'm going to say that, yes, I am aware that Aspergers Syndrome is a brain thing, you can't just identify someone on sight and say "That guy is an aspie because his face is (fill in the blank)". But because there's a certain amount of genetics...

It's true that a certain amount of self critisism is nessesary, in order to find that one brilliant saying in a whole page of junk, but if you don't ever beleive you are good enough you only end up with a blank sheet of lost possibility. :(

Hey, new member, and thouroughly fed up with nearly everyone. Two issues, prepare for monologueing rant. 1) People are constintly telling me to pay attention. (note that I have no form of ADHD, I'm nearly the opposite of hyperactivity). I try so hard, focus every particle of my being, and still I fo...
