Coffee is one of my favourite things, but I don't think it has any effect (or very much if it does) on me either way. I do feel worse if I don't have it but that could be psychological. I think I might've experienced what you're talking about when I tried energy tablets though, can't remember whethe...

That's an interesting definition of friendship. I'm not sure how I'd define it, because I want to protect people but I'm not sure whether that depends on our being friends or not, because I don't know how to tell if someone is a 'friend'. Sorry to hear that those people didn't stick around. I guess ...

I can't sleep unless I take melatonin and mirtazapine. They make things pretty good, I get to sleep fine and just wake up a few times sometimes but get back to sleep quite easily.

I can sympathise with anyone suffering from insomnia. It can be hell, and makes other things worse.

Oops, I answered 'no' because I thought the question was whether my personality is addictive to others.

Hm, I think I get the same thing with films, but not books. I wonder why.

Does it make any difference to you (or any other posters) whether the film/book is long, has subtitles if it's a film, if you watch the film in a cinema or at home, with people or alone, or the environment you read in?

I have a neurotypical twin. He works in a department store, has a girlfriend, and goes out drinking and playing pool. He follows all the latest fashions and listens to chart music. He acts really confidently, and can appear laid back but he can also be moody. He doesn't really seem to have any hobbi...

Me too, but not in front of people.

I'm not sure what my favourite songs to sing are, but I like to play guitar at the same time, so songs that I like, and can sing and play.

I agree with auntblabby. I don't think you have any reason to think that about yourself, and I'd like it if you stayed around.
I think similar things about myself, so I guess it's hypocritical of me to say that I don't think what you think about yourself is true, but I still think it.

Kurushimi - That sounds like a really creepy thing to have happen, did he stop or did you leave or something? Sorry that happened to you, and really sorry to hear about what happened with your sister and that other guy. :/ Amity - The men in pubs pinching you doesn't sound nice either, sorry to hear...

Urgh. :wall: 'disease', 'patients', 'the kiss of death for pharmaceutical companies', 'too much work'?

Did anyone notice the link half-way through to an article about a cure for ebola? Seems like there was a comparison being made there.

One of my favourite quotes. I'm definitely not good at defending myself, verbally at least, but I've tended to take that saying in the sense that, maybe I don't say anything to defend myself but I try not to show that someone or something's getting to me, or that they're influencing my behaviour, if...

Thanks to everyone for responding. I guess I should try your suggestions if it happens again, just not good at doing things while it happens, but I'll try. Does this kind of thing happen to any of you guys? Not sure whether it's common to get approached like that pretty often, or if I somehow attrac...

I think "bullying" is a childish term that people can't really take seriously, because they don't even know what "bullying" involves. ^ This, in the sense that if what happened in schools happened on the street it would be considered assault or hate crime and so a criminal offence. Can't speak for ...
