Pharmaceuticals generally have all kinds of side effects.
It could be one of your medications.
Or something reacting with them.
I never trust pharmaceuticals.

Generalizations like that are arbitrary and meaningless.
Why do people keep asking things like this?
I don't want to be mean, but Really?

A statement like "autistics can't play sports". Is harmful and prevents people from even trying, so what if they are awkward.

That just described my whole summer. It's been record-breaking heat in the Pacific NW. I slowly imploded. Then completely collapsed all the way through the black hole to the other side. It's as if decades of holding all the sensory stuff back failed. I think of it like a buffer over-run failure. I'm...

I don't feel like they are narrow. Interests are pretty much infinite. Mine just are not common. Many find what I have to say somewhat boring, I glaze eyes over all the time. Then I get frustrated and mad at them for not understanding me. I don't really get the regular conversation flow well. Most o...

Bernie won't be the nominee and won't be considered as running mate but I think Elizabeth Warren is likely the VP pick of whoever wins the nomination which will be either Hillary or Biden. Biden is a lot more likable personality wise and keeps his nose clean, he's a more electable general election ...

So what's the chance of him actually becoming the president? As a Norwegian, I have absolutely no idea why anyone would ever want to vote for him. But he seems awfully popular. And I don't see any democrat with the same popularity. As a Norwegan, YOU have a better shot at becoming president. In Ame...

He'd be a boon for the stand up comedians, just think of all the material. Make Palin his VP and we have a winning team!! ! Better than "President Quayle" could have ever been. Are we sure Trump & Quayle are not related? The POTUS is just a PR guy anyhow, he's the person who takes the...

My brain goes kinda "non linear" sometimes and I have trouble ordering sentences. Both reading them and writing them. Large blocks of text confuse me, my visual cortex wants to scan it like an image for patterns. It's very hard for me to lock on to the row by row pattern for reading. My ey...

I'm completely a visual/geometric/pattern/abstract thinker. That's all I do. As a kid, my outward "stims" became inward thought patterns as I grew older. As I'm sitting there socially disconnected, I'll be doing all kinds of geometric exercises in my head. I taught myself how to translate ...

All the "disorders" are just arbitrary collections of overlapping symptoms.
The writers of the DSM are grasping at straws.

For me it is a pathology that some groups of Aspies are named as "learning disabled". Aspieness is a category with heterogenous conditions in it. Aucories are conditions which start in childhood and are characterised by social inadequacy and peculiarity. They form the category which separ...

Is it part of being autistic that upon seeing all this bulk of text, bold text and underlined text that I want to stab myself repeatedly with a small fork, rip my own spine out and use it as a whip, painting the walls red? It's so unreadable. I don't want to read this, it hurts. It's distracting, I...

I don't think it is proper to use the word "Nirvana" except in the context of Hinduism or Buddhism. Word hijacking, or maybe an affront to someone else's religion. Sorry, if someone else's religion is "affronted".....that's THEIR problem. I don't go for that politically correct ...

That doesn't sound normal for anyone, that sounds like a hormone imbalance on the part of the NT.
I did catch on to one NT "social rule" though..... just leave new mothers alone, you are poking a bear, a mother bear.

I know that sometimes the crushing loneliness of never being able to get a date just ...
