I never use those terms for anybody except for a comedic effect. I don't make up nicknames either. I might use a short or longer version of their name depending on which one sounds cooler. Just for fun, try calling your guy "Stud Muffins." I have in the past. He laughed. I got the same response.

I am glad that you realized your problem. Depression is often seen with increased drinking, but it really only makes it worse.
Have you considered an AA (alcoholics anonymous) or other support group? Even if you do not have full alcoholism they can help.
