Thanks, but I don't know what club you mean.

Can we hear specifics? But yes, I totally agree. Keep your opinions to yourself unless you're absolutely sure the other person will agree and will not repeat what you said. This is sad to say, but it will keep you out of trouble. I actually have pretty critical, judgmental opinions that would win m...

How do you know who will listen until they refuse to, then give you a hard time?

I'm not exactly sure, but I think it's when you pretend to understand their point of view.

I've got a HP laptop and I wouldn't recommend the one I have. I wouldn't trust any Dells because they tend to be badly designed and cheaply made.

I know two people with the same model and they haven't experienced the same issues.

I'm often told that I'm making people uncomfortable, or more frustratingly, that I'm being aggressive and uncooperative. A previous poster has touched upon this before on page 3. Aspies don't "play the game" to get on in a professional, or sometimes personal situation. To play along we nee...

Yes, I recall being quite young and having a Christmas dinner at school. There was this reindeer ice cream pudding thing, with such a cute face. I remember not being able to eat it because it was so cute and I felt really sorry for it. I got horribly upset whilst I watched it melt. I can't eat anyth...

Hi everyone, I'm in distress today, because yet again I find conflict when I'm trying to be reasonable. I always manage to get this brick wall presented to me when I attempt to put my opinions across, although I'm at a loss as to why, because I mull what I'm about to say over in my head lots of time...

I meant to say religious in my previous post. Partership and marital rights shouldn't be the same fight as whether gay marriage should be legalised. It's a case of law and religion overlapping. If marriage is a religious union, why should those who are secular have to go through that ceremony to hav...

If it's a mainly personal criteria to the 'level giver', doesn't that render it somewhat useless? I can't understand what the purpose is unless there are much more specific guidelines rather than being a matter of opinion, 'professional' or not.

Thanks for your reply. It doesn't really answer my question though. What is the specific criteria of each? Also, my original question was, "do most people get given a level of autism?".

When there is heavy coverage, it is generally due to nothing more interesting going on, in their opinion, that will make them money, or get people watching. I really couldn't care less about gay marriage. Wasn't marriage intended to be a religious union, which then got watered down to a piece of pap...

My friend has 3 children who are autistic and they have been given levels. Personally, I'd never heard of this before.

Can someone explain to me what would fall under these levels?

Also, do most people get given a level?

I'm not sure whether it's taboo, or not. My dad doesn't understand what AS is, simply because he is narcissistic and doesn't want to. When it comes to serious conversations, he says that he didn't want a daughter with AS and says whether I have a condition or not, I could have tried to be easier. I ...

I have a habit of taking drink to the extreme. What's the point of drinking unless you get drunk? Sometimes it calms me down, but if I'm giddy before I have a drink - watch out!

Having said this, I'm sticking to my sobriety plan!

Does anyone here ever use an escape, in order to dear with loneliness? You know, like you lose yourself in the world of a good book or TV show, just to ease your pain? When I was in high school, I had a hard time making friends and finding dates, so on Thursday nights, I always looked forward to wa...
