I like my alone time, but I get lonely, and do enjoy structured activies with other people.
So... a bit of both. |

I shall not be attending either.
It's a bit far to get to either the UK or the US from New Zealand. |

I was not diagnosed until adulthood. I had no speech delay, but apparently, my emotions didn't develop right. My parents had to teach me emotions by using my NT younger sister as a model. My parents, for some strange reason, did not see this as particularly odd, and just took it in their stride. My ... |

I read that up to 1/3 people on the spectrum also have epilepsy or some form of seizure disorder. I've been having partial seizures since I was 14 (I'm now 22) although I've only just recently got the diagnosis of epilepsy, thanks to a lot of misdiagnoses, the fact that the first two neurologists th... |

First IQ test I had done by a psychologist when I was 14. It came back at 125. Above average, I guess. Second IQ test I had I was 21 and I on a massive quantity of antipsychotic medications that were severely affecting my cognitive functioning. I could barely do anything, my short-term memory was sh... |

Oh, I had no idea that that was what it was called.
You learn something new every day.
I actually find touch, specifically of my hands, head or back, will trigger this response, as will sounds. It's weird, because I normally hate it when people touch me casually or without warning. |

To an extent. It depends how well I know the person I'm looking at. I can read my mother's facial expressions reliably. Other family members with a bit less accuracy, but still all right. Anyone else's, I can read the most obvious emotions, such as extreme distress, excitement, happiness, fury, exha... |

I shift around quite a lot, but I never seem to know what to do with my arms. They're always getting in the way, and they're always awkward and uncomfortable. I do not sleep on my back, because for some reason this makes me feel nauseous. Has for almost my entire life, and I haven't the faintest clu... |

I really like the texture of mushrooms. I hate the texture of beans, lentils, chickpeas, pretty much all legumes. Most of the time I can deal with other textures, even if I don't particularly like them, although I do have a lot of issues with flavour, so there are a whole lot of other foods that I w... |

While I never played "house" as such, I did have imaginative play. It was almost exclusively with my younger brother, or one particular friend who had very similar interests and a brother who was incidentally also on the spectrum. We would each choose a character and role play. Or we would play with... |

Possibly all of the above, or none of the above.
I don't actually know.
Sometimes I will think exclusively in music or numbers, others I will think in pictures and then others still I will think in words. |

I've always been a nose-picker.
Eater, too, if I'm honest.
I don't do it in public, just in private. At least I'm that restrained.
It always sort of bothers me if I breathe through my nose and there's something obstructing that breath. That's usually what prompts a good delving. |

Out of interest, who else here is on the spectrum and also has tattoos? I imagine quite a few people can't deal with needles, so they just wouldn't even go there. But long before I found out I had ASD I was in a tattoo parlour getting inked. Does anyone else have any tattoos, or is this something th... |

I hate having long hair because it always itches. So I have quite a short hair cut even though I'm a girl. And that makes it harder. So for the last three years, my way of solving the haircut issue, has been to just walk in, and honestly ask for a mohawk. Completely shaved on the sides, one inch lon... |

There are two ways of tying shoelaces.
I can tie them one of the ways, but not the other.
I was nine years old before I learned to tie them that first way. |
