I don't think what you're doing is nasty or deceitful. There's an NT/AS barrier and since you're the only one who knows its there you have to change your behavior if you want to mitigate the effects of this barrier. Not the same thing has being deceitful. And most people on facebook are projecting ...

I'm on a mission on starting to understand people and trying to act somewhat normal, because I'm sick and tired of being out of everything. I want to work and be independent, but it's hard when I don't "belong" anywhere and I'm as good as dust in the corners to other people (at work etc.). That's wh...

Same thing here. I just magically get left out of that weird buddying-system :D It just slips through without me noticing it. I started at a new job a few months ago and my colleagues haven't done anything to "connect" with me in that way, so yesterday I took the initiative and friended them on face...

I'm sorry to hear you had to go through that. It's obviously not nice to hear negative feedback, specially when it gets that personal. Did she point out any positive aspects?

Watercolors isn't my first choice, but my mom took me to France on my 30th birthday to a watercolor course and here's what I painted in the end.

I was in CBT while studying and it really did help me. I wouldn't have been able to (almost) finish my studies without it. I suffered from severe panic attacks, social anxiety and I was more or less psychotic after the first year in there (started the therapy on the second year). I felt really exhau...

Now I'm not "the only gay in the village" :D The funny part of that Little Britain sketch was that he wasn't the only gay in the village either. Even Myfanwy was gay. Yup, that's my point :) Even tho I knew I wasn't it still felt like it (I know it doesn't correlate 100% to the idea of the sketch)....

Oh well. You don't know what it is like to be an outsider unless you're a Finn living in a remote corner, trying to say something in a predominantly American forum. It's not the forum's being American, I have nothing against this fact. It's just... it's useless even to try to describe it. That's wh...

I've noticed the same thing and up until a few months ago I thought nt's were terribly self-centered liars, pretenders, hypocrites and superficial. I tried to play their game in order to get along, but it didn't work out so well. Now I have started this cognitive therapy and I'm just blown away of t...

I am just completely stuck in this situation. I've had meltdowns, I am too tired to even prepare dinner for myself at home etc. This is a summer job and I have been there for a month and a half, still a month or so to go. Straight after that I start my apprenticeship related to my studies (I have be...

I'm struggling with the "stuck" too. I have tried to do lists and to split things in smaller proportions. That helps a bit, when the jam isn't too bad or the things to do aren't too... something... I don't even know what is in common with the hardest or not so hard things! They don't seem to link to...

I have a problem with crying in certain situations. One of them is when I have to ask for a favour. I don't know why I get the overwhelming feeling for asking, but I can't help it. I usually try to avoid asking things face to face. I get very anxious even if I have to do it by a text or email etc, b...

You can block your friends updates etc from your newsfeed. I've done that and only see the interesting pages I want to see. I've created a 'no-list' for almost all of my fb-friends. They see less of my profile and vice versa. Only if I feel masochistic I go and see what's up with the no-list people ...
