Yes. I think the writing is abysmal and acting is poor, except for Jason Isaacs, whose character is very predictable. But it's working to the makers' advantage with me, since the more irritated I am by it, the stronger my urge to watch the next one :| There is one thing I feel differently to most ot...

I feel that if I untag myself I am somehow deleting a part of my life or something. I have no idea about normal internet rules, but that seems to be the problem. You're not. It's just sh*tty facebook. On the other hand... what would be the problem if you actually were? If you've lost contact with t...

Former Lieutenant Colonel - He was director, briefly, of the FSB, which developed from one fragment of the dissolved KGB, and so is arguably not quite the direct successor it is assumed to be. [/pedant]

I am like this. I've found it less of an issue as I've got older and spend more of the day surrounded by people while I'm essentially zombified by my work routine. My reactions to people have dulled a bit with time, but I still notice it in one-to-one interactions, especially if I have any interest ...

I think that if you have been afforded a voice, however small, then you should use it to instigate positive change. It’s not an option – it’s a duty... BirdInFlight, I interpeted Chris Packham's thanks post differently. I think the "voice, however small" he is referring to here is one of ...

I once had a course of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I found I absolutely could not engage with the process or the intentions of the therapist at all. It seemed that I could not accept the models of behaviour and thought that the system seems to be based on. None of the aspects of it hit their mark...

I honestly don't think I know for sure whether people in my dreams speak or not. I experience dreams where it would make sense that people would be speaking, and I have the impression that interactions must have taken place in which speech would be natural, but I have no lasting impression when I w...

I have one, and like it. I bought it as a novelty - I had no idea they were a popular thing until I overheard some loud teens on a bus have a gormless conversation about theirs lately. I would be extremely irritated to be near someone fiddling with one and do think they're only suitable as a private...

the turin horse - difficult to watch, but worth it. very slow. grinding. but of course, it has to be to get its point across. Ah!! Absolutely. I've been meaning to summon the strength the watch Satantango in one go for about four years. I've read it, at least, which feels like a kind of preparation.

Homo Sapiens It's an hour and a half sequence of footage from places abandoned by humans. It includes no humans and no words. I've never left a cinema with the same feeling of calm. I wish that this was a popular genre. I would make an effort to watch this type of thing regularly if it was: non-nar...

P.S.! Most of the male forenames that surnames were originally derived from were, in fact, adjectives. The majority of the derived surnames take the grammatical from that answers the form "whose(pl.) are you?". That is, the grammatical case that has the function, roughly speaking, of the E...
