This is one of the big reasons I think I have AS (inconclusive evaluation). The incidence of photographic memory and visualized thinking in people with AS is a lot higher than NT's. My first two years of college, I thought everybody was being lazy when they took down notes, because I thought it mean...

I haven't posted on the site in a while, but on a tangent, it's nice to see you're still here Ana; I enjoy your constructive, positive commentaries. But yeah, people don't say anything to me, but I'm pretty sure they are making judgments and assumptions in their minds. However, I notice the worse I ...

Some of my rooms are very messy and others are very clean. Either way, if someone moves something or leaves an item out (like in the kitchen), it makes me irrationally angry/agitated.

I just graduated college, in accounting, top of my class.

Kinda like telling a starving man to just eat something, right?

Haha yeah, aside from that seldom outburst of awkwardness, pretty much likewise.

Forum: General Autism Discussion   Topic: Why do ppl base intelligence on IQ scores?

First, I think that most people haven't taken a real IQ test (administered under strict conditions), so that their cited "scores" are ambiguous at best. That being said, I scored SUBSTANTIALLY (more than a standard deviation) higher on an actual IQ test than on the "IQ tests" offered online. That be...

I like clutter. It helps remind me that people live here. wish it was as simple as telling myself that!! !! ! I feel uncomfortable when everything is clean. It's like I'm living in a hospital or something. Or... it could be "acting out" against my military training? It was pretty bad (one kid tried...

Isnt there any online test that can provide an accurate measure of IQ? No. An actual IQ test will have very strict controls, and part of it is the time taken to answer certain sections. Back to the topic, 138. Different tests have different standard deviations and criteria, so different tests can't...

Has anyone been diagnosed with this in conjunction with AS? How has it affected your daily life, etc.? Are there any medications or treatments that seem to help you?
