Discrimination much? Its hardly discrimination. If you have a condition the affects your driving ability (like night-blindness for instance) then you may have restrictions placed on your license. Just the same as a deaf person requiring more mirrors, or an amputee needing hand controls. People get ...

The amount of anger in that comment is just sad and because I don't believe in an us and them mentality, that poster views me as a sell out or fake autistic person. I'm not. I'm just not an angry one. Every group has its extremists, unfortunately Autistics/aspies aren't an exception to that rule. I...

Its not about race or anyone paying for the crimes of their ancestors its just not rewarding them for it. Its about Justice, its about how allowing so much unearned wealth in the hands of a few how that distorts a country both economically and socially. Inequality is a negative thing, however in th...

That depends on how you define "stolen". Did the average Zimbabwean have a direct claim to the land? And even if they did have a legitimate claim, the race-based attitude after Zimbabwean independence just created another apartheid. Technically in legal terms an occupying colonial entity ...

Within those 1000 years the average white British person has roughly the same amount of Norman DNA to Saxon DNA. How is it relevant to land theft?

The aristocracy still own 1/3 of England and wales and half and Scotland. I think using violence to gain wealth is always wrong but when you allow very few people to own so much stolen wealth it completely distorts a society. You're saying that all or most of the upper class have been in the UK for...

I think Africans taking their land back is a just action. Mugabe was corrupt and just gave it to his supporters hence why it failed. Gaining independence and promoting racist ethnic nationalism are two different things; unfortunately Zimbabwe committed the latter. Taking back stolen land is not eth...

If Catalonia wants out of the EU and is sick of Spain's heavy hand, I back their independence movement. If they want to go even further Left than Spain (like Scotland does with wanting to be more liberal than England), then I oppose it. They don't want to be out of the EU, but rather the EU will fo...

There's nothing wrong with complaining about NTs, just as long as the person complaining understands that NT's are also individuals and are NOT a giant hive-mind out to get us. I've found that people who universally complain about NTs tend to have not met many (or any) autistic people offline. As ot...

Pointless. I went to one which was more of an autism therapies group than a support group, but there was that element. They treated us like we were severely intellectually disabled, even though they knew from our neurological testing (we were a test subjects group) that many of us were of above ave...

No, it smells too much of ethnic nationalism to me. As long as the artefact is maintained in a professional and respectful manner, it really doesn't matter where it is. You could say that taking the Elgin marbles was wrong, but what if the Greeks stole foreign resources to create them? I'm not sayin...

I'd rather pounce upon a person for calling me "ret*d" than to ban the use of the word. I like these sorts of things to be "out in the open," and dealt with properly. We're going to be beset with insults throughout our lives; we have to learn how to deal with them. But.....you d...

I've been to a few, and that's not including my previous college and university groups. As every aspie is different, the quality of aspie groups are very dependent on who's there. Some of them are filled with great like-minded people; whereas with other groups we didn't share any interests and we we...
