Hi, I've been in a relationship for a pretty long time and I just can't do it anymore. I hate it. My depression is terrible, I'm made to feel like he is constantly having to make concessions to put up with me and I feel so worthless. I want to end it, but how do I do this without looking ungrateful ...

Hi Everyone, Apologies if there's already an up-to-date discussion on this anywhere on this site. I have a friend in his early 30s with a diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome. He's going to be moving from his parents' place on the south coast of England, up to Manchester. Does anyone know of any support o...

Hi, Wanted to see if anyone could relate to this as it's a huge issue for my hypersensitive hearing, even if I wear ear plugs. Would be good to know I'm not alone, especially as some people are just plain mean about it, and it's not like I go around demanding all hand dryers should be banned or anyt...

Good luck!

Hi, I have a diagnosis of ME/CFS although I was recovering from PTSD at the time. The CFS is better now that I'm over the worst of PTSD, but it certainly isn't gone. It's interesting you mention adrenal issues. I do have issues with regulating adrenaline (which isn't quite the same as an actual glan...

Only when I'm nervous. Either fast or not at all. lol Yes, exactly! When people ask me to slow down it's difficult for me to make them understand that I can't. I'm only part time verbal anyway (I experience episodes of involuntary mutism) and although the speech therapy helped a lot, it is still di...

I'm told I speak quickly too. I had to have speech therapy as I spoke so quickly that I stumbled over my words when I was trying to speak. I speak more slowly now than I did prior to therapy, but I'm still often told that I speak more quickly than most other people do. It doesn't bother me though. W...

Hi everyone! I know that requests for research participants aren't exactly everyone's favourite thing - but the researcher is a good guy and also this research has zero to do with cures or aversives or anything like that - so I promised I'd post here to see if anyone was interested..... The research...

I like this explanation as it is not a negative one - but this is just my personal preference. I appreciate that finding the explanation which works best for you is very much a personal individual thing. Although this is not an especially short explanation, there are a few key sentences which I pers...

My attention was drawn to this paragraph: "Over half a million people in the UK suffer from autism, which leaves them struggling to communicate effectively. Boys are four times more likely to develop it than girls and there is no known cause and no cure." 1. I don't 'suffer' from autism 2. I can co...

I certainly think that if someone spreads HIV wilfully and knowingly they should be prosecuted. If someone genuinely doesn't know they have HIV, and has not had any symptoms to indicate it (although the symptoms are not that clear cut anyway!) then I don't see how one could justify saying it is murd...

Thanks for clarifying that demeus.
It is pretty depressing that many organisations' priority now is 'what can we do to not get sued' rather than 'how can we offer the best service'.
