Functioning labels were based on having an IQ above (high-functioning) or below 70 (low functioning). They were never officially in the DSM or the ICD as diagnostic labels. They don't give any indication of the severity of someone's autism. There are people with "severe" autism with IQ ab... |

I hate the heat. It leads to me having meltdowns and avoiding going outside in the summer. Temperatures above 75 degrees Fahrenheit are very uncomfortable for me. Temperatures above 80 degrees Fahrenheit can trigger a meltdown. My favorite times of year are fall and winter. |

WEll I have dysgraphia. Even when I used handwriting all the time for years. My written writing was almost illegible, Unless, I concentrate really hard and write it really slowly. Broader Autism Phenotype is not and never was a diagnosis. PDD-NOS was a diagnosis in the DSM-IV and is now part of Autism Spectrum Disorder. |
