Forum: Random Discussion   Topic: Fanfic characters, anyone?

I've created quite a few original characters when writing X-Men fanfic, with one of them being a fairly constant fixture in the continuity I've built. She's not so much my self-insertion character (what with my being male and all ;)) so much as she's a viewpoint character in certain respects. That b...

I saw Zombieland last night. Love it. I saw that several times at the cinema when it first came out, and really enjoyed it (Woody Harrelson as Tallahassee was ten kinds of awesome. The finale where he mows down legions of zombies by himself is just insanely cool...). Of course, that probably had a ...

Chicken & redcurrant jelly on white bread.

That was some good eating :)

It's got to be the live-action Street Fighter , if only for Raul Julia's manic, gleefully over-the-top turn as M.Bison. He had all the best lines, and the quality of the film was raised about twenty levels whenever he was on screen. Plus he had the costume, as opposed to Neal McDonough's "evil busin...

Sorry to hear about your dog dying - losing a pet is really tough. I hope you feel better soon :)

Forum: Random Discussion   Topic: Anyone here like JC's Titanic?

I loathed Titanic with a passion. The dialogue was risible ("Oh, Jack, I'm flying! ") and the plot flimsy at best. Plus, the historical errors leapt out at me like they were dancing butt-naked with "Look at me!" tattooed on their chests. And historical errors and I do not get on well, if the film in...

I adored my cats (and was absolutely crushed when they died), but my first love was always my dogs.

I actually related to them a lot more than I did to my brother, which says a great deal about how close he and I were at that time (we're better now, but back then we weren't exactly best friends).

I would much rather live on Mars than Venus. Aside from the obvious "Venus' atmosphere would cook me in two seconds flat" factor, the scenery seems a lot less awesome. I'd love to see Olympus Mons, for example.

You Are the Queen of Hearts To call you passionate would be a total understatement. You have quite a temper. You put fear into the hearts of everyone you know. You are easy to make angry, and once you're angry, you may do or say anything. You love vengeance. You don't like to be crossed. And while ...

I think Johnny Depp is an extremely talented actor - he never, ever seems to get typecast or sleepwalk his way through his work.

Also, I've noticed that most women I know seem to find him incredibly attractive. If they bottled what made this happen, it would make somebody very rich indeed :P

Meh. A birthday's a birthday. My last was my 30th, though, so I wasn't so enthusiastic about that one (I can't really be this old, can I? I don't feel 30 or have any of the things one allegedly "ought to have" at this point (my own house, a steady girlfriend and 2.4 kids. You know what I mean, right...

My avatar should tell you that I like magic tricks involving pencils and eye sockets, and also have a great affinity for knives

Nah, not really :P I just think the Joker is awesome, especially when played by Heath Ledger or voiced by Mark Hamill.

Pollen is my #1 allergy. Long-haired cat fur is also a pain sometimes (which was always fun when my cat Polly was alive, because she loved me a great deal and would insist on sitting on my lap whenever she could  ), as is cigarette smoke, which makes my lungs feel like they've shrivelled to abo...
