a person who really wanted to help would not hesitate to inform everyone of exactly what they did without holding anything back. Yes. That is a good point. If I find something helpful I keep telling people in the hopes it will help them too. Unfortunately though it is not wise as people think you a... |

Except for once I have avoided this thread bit I’ve really have had enough of this. If I was I company that had a quack product meant to scam autistic people I would go about marketing it pretty much the exact same way this person has. With a trait of being easily fooled by predators we are a entic... |

We are not superior to NT's just different. While there maybe areas we are superior such as hyperfocusing, resistance to change, executive function disorders are not good traits. |

It causes disabilities and very good abilities. But it is a strong disadvantage because the areas where it causes disabilities are heavily valued by the neuromajority and the areas where it causes high abilities are either not recognized by the neuromajority or they are so drawn to and value those a... |

I have been only looking for it just for a few months. And I have looked back. At best I can suspect it. The people I suspect Talking about the same topic, using the same expressions over and over, sensitivity to noise or lights. But those traits may be something else. Also I have met people at supp... |

I've heard that a lot of people on the spectrum have a tendency to monologue--lack of understanding of social rituals leading to one-sided conversations. But I don't see this in myself; rather the opposite. I'm hyper-aware of social rules but I'm deathly afraid of mucking up; I did monologue for a ... |

That is unstereotypical for an aspie I if were blessed to be on the sidelines, I'd never watch them. I'd be... |

I like this. Glad to see people are finding humor in a touchy subject. Wrong Planet can always use a little laughter. It helps. |

I found out I've been approved for Medicaid by my state's DSHS. I just called my Federal disability lawyer to tell him. He said, "It's Saturday!" Well, excuse me. I forgot that normal people work M-F and watch football or go boating on the weekends. Sorry. It won't happen again. Congratulations and... |

I got told off by an OU lecturer regarding my online posting style. My contribution to an online theoretical debate was too knowledgeable so I was told to cool it off or post less as a result. Apparently the other students were intimidated by my level of ability and complained about it. I left the ... |

Actually, I would be pretty surprised if the life expectancy wasn't noticeably lower for autistic people. We have more trouble holding jobs which means we're less likely to have good healthcare and things like that. It has been shown that married people and people with lots of social relationships ... |
