I'm diagnosed with Asperger's and my difficulties are: 1.Social issues-I have a difficult time getting a job based on interviewing as while I might look great on paper, the tiny social things screw the whole thing up in most cases. 2. Sensory-I have problems with tags in clothing and certain fabrics...

I did, but I eventually figured it out on my own, but didn't say anything to my NT brother as he also figured out that it was a myth. I do understand that there was a Saint Nicholas, and that he's the patron saint of children and several professions.

I suffer to wear flat shoes because they're the only type of shoe I like and know how to wear. I have flat feet and bunions which always rub and they're getting worse, but I refuse to change my shoe style to big horrible clumpy ones suggested by the podiatrist.. I don't know how to wear those. what...

I was able to learn to drive a car, and I even drive on some LA freeways when there's a lot of traffic, and crazy drivers. Public transportation doesn't go everywhere that's convenient yet, so driving is a necessity for independence. After all, it has allowed me to get jobs I otherwise wouldn't sinc...

I don't think wars count, as soldiers basically have to kill or be killed. That's the case with my grandpa and other ancestors who fought in wars. My grandpa was so traumatized by his experiences in the Battle of the Bulge that he refused to talk about it. It doesn't sound like he had PTSD, but that...

I agree with the other suggestions, but to make things easier, I would suggest wearing slip on shoes as you do have to put your shoes in the bin, and before you leave, make sure you check your carry on bag for liquids and either put them in your checked bag or leave them at home. That also goes for n...

I was also a wanderer and loved to hide in the clothing racks when my mom was shopping. Later, my parents realized that it was safe for my brother and I to walk to the park about a mile away to use the pool in the summer, since we learned to swim there. We also walked to and from school from element...

I love Halloween even as an adult and going to parties. I've noticed that several Protestant churches do have a harvest festival instead of Halloween, and those attending aren't allowed to dress as devils or wear other scary costumes. After all, they would rather focus on it being autumn and the tra...

I was in an abusive marriage, that I managed to get out of when it started turning physical as it started out as verbal abuse. I'm just fortunate that I got out before there were any children, and that he never threw out my birth control or poked holes in condoms. I did get therapy for years, and it...

Wool is something I can't wear unless I have something layered underneath it.

Clothing tags really annoy me, so I either cut them out of the clothing, or make sure something is tagless.

Those are the only things I can think of.

Recently, my fiancee did say that he liked when I had long hair, but he knows he has no say in what I decide to do with my hair. Now, it's just slightly shorter than shoulder length, and in layers as I think that's what's best for my face, as well as hair type. I have a lot of fine hair, and when it...

Mostly, people thought I was the r-word, but not gay. If anything, having shoulder length hair and sometimes wearing minimal makeup with jeans, sometimes people call me "sir" but that's it really. Being mistaken for a guy was more common when I had a pixie type of haircut, so I know I will never get...

I have never smoked because I've seen in my own family how addictive it is, with my mom managing to quit, but then started up again, and one of my aunts is probably going to die from a tobacco related disease if she doesn't die from alcoholism first. That aunt smokes so much, that when she mails gif...

I'm unemployed at the moment, and I'm looking for another job. I did like my old job somewhat, but it was basically a dead-end job and before I was finally laid off, I didn't get as many hours as I would have preferred.

I used the library often when I was in school, but at the university, women were often told to avoid certain sections of the library at night because of the risk of rape, so if I did anything in the evening, I stayed on the first floor as they had plenty of chairs for studying.

It might be better to find other organizations related to any interests you have. It's what I did when I was in college, and I had a great time. They tend to be more accepting of quirky people than the Greek system usually is, and for the most part, the dues are cheaper than what you would pay for R...
