Everything. With a sex education that was completely about how if you have sex, you’ll get these horrible infections and that the only solution is to remain abstinent, we never received any true education. I didn’t know what a tampon looked like until this year when I asked about it on a Discord ser...

I want to advocate for autism acceptance so much, and while it’s great that blacks and LGBTs have received more attention lately, it makes me mad that autistics are still kicked to the curb. I don’t know where to join an activism group; I can’t find any in Missouri. I want to be a part of a movement...

Free. I could never live with myself if I killed an animal. I also despise that so many people base their decisions on killing or freeing based on how cute the bug is.

Glad to hear it. Though, you don't mind it not being paid work, do you?

No, not a problem. I find acting enjoyable; the opportunity to do it is rewarding enough.

This is great! So many people haven’t heard of the Judge Rotenberg Center, which is a shame. I think if more people knew about it, this stuff would have ended long ago.

I commented on that article saying that Asperger’s is a different way of being and a part of who we are. It’s not cancer. You can comment anonymously, so I encourage others to comment on that too.

Used to. Had my hippocampus removed when I was 18 so I’d stop having seizures and be able to drive. Wow, no way. How are you doing now? I'm guessing mine are also related to the hippocampus, as I have some psychic partial seizures. Along with sensory seizures. Probably others I am not aware of yet....

I asked the access services guy if there were any other aspies I could meet, and he introduced me to one. He was the only friend I had. But as for natural friend-making, no idea. I was really lonely in college.

I got a license at 20. It was delayed because of the seizures I used to have. I’m not a very good driver, and the biggest issue is that I have absolutely no sense of direction because of my hippocampus that was removed. I need a GPS to get anywhere, but even that doesn’t always help because sometime...

I did before I had surgery to fix them. I would start breathing heavily and be unable to talk. According to my parents, my eyes would roll back a little too. I think they’d last about a minute, although it was hard to judge time during them. After the seizure, I’d be exhausted.

As I’ve worked as a copy editor, this has been both my biggest strength and hindrance. It’s great when I’m just looking for grammar and spelling mistakes; my ability to focus on minute details and my natural sponge-like absorption of complex English rules let me catch mistakes other people can’t fin...

I’m lucky that my parents haven’t brought up the idea of grandchildren. I’ve told my mom that I don’t want kids, and I’m repulsed at the sight of babies. I don’t have any siblings, so it’s all on me if the family lineage is to continue. I also get the feeling that my parents know I’ll likely never f...
