My bed is the only uncluttered part of my entire home (although it is surrounded by stacks of books, piled to the same height as the bedding). It's my sleeping-pit and although clean, is never "crisply made"; it just gets pushed about into the most comfortable shape as required. Every available hori...

When I am explaining something I tend to go way into detail. I start giving background information and just related information that deals with my point and then I'll make it later. I like people to fully understand the way I think and why. Or fully get the reason why somethings are so. There are h...

I love driving. It's just good fun! Having to focus on one activity like that stops me over-thinking everything else, and I generally feel better after a short drive. Just after I passed my test (first time!) having the car radio on was completely distracting, passengers got ignored if they talked, ...

Adaptogenic functions of jiaogulan are demonstrated in its biphasic effects on brain functions, which energize or calm the system depending upon the body’s need. Jiaogulan also aids the regulation of hormonal functions in both men and women. The healthy maintenance of these physiological actions pl...

NTs do have stims. Generally speaking, their stims are socially acceptable in most contexts, or have a meaning in terms of body language that other NTs interpret as "normal." Yep. I think it's mostly a context-related thing for NTs (stereotypical Italian hand-gestures, etc.) but with us it's more o...

I have always noticed over the years that if I go through periods of not watching tv I become more at ease with things. Yes, good point. I'm not sure exactly which bad influence is removed by not watching it: re-discovering that I still have a brain and it's more fun using it than sitting in front ...

I know people who refuse to eat at Burger King ever since they introduced that creepy king. I noticed they are using him less and less so perhaps Burger King got the message.

8O And that is seriously creepy. What were they thinking?

If there is legislation in the UK for volume control of adverts it is not being applied or adhered to. The adverts in britain are considerably louder than a lot of the shows. Hmm, quite probably. About the only time I see them these days is briefly by accident or small parts as I'm editing them out...

those people have autism in those videos? That must be severe, I do a lot of weird movements but it's really hard to describe. I do this a lot:  Hey - do you have a video camera set up in my home ? That is exactly what I do, and I hold my arms up in exactly the same way. It's weird how we all ...

Oh that ruined the whole formula of the topic for you. Tell me if this one works for you. This is a less loud acoustic version. Gah. So now WP won't play a YouTube link for me at all! (just had the same problem on another video). So, I copied out the URL and viewed it in a browser. And... I'm so so...

Also: they're brighter and flashier, and a lot more is going on in a shorter amount of time. The entire point is to get the viewers' attention quickly. Yeah, they play that little trick here too. Lots of flashing lights, bright colours and impossibly rapid scene changes. My instinctive reaction is ...
