Struggling to understand a term and it's applications in geology. I know it's going to probably be quite simple in reality, but my mind is not cooperating! Spatial concepts are my Achilles heel; which is rather worrying when one is trying to learn to be an environmental scientist.

8O How mean! Hugs. Mums can be like that, though. Mine once wished aloud (with me present) why I could never talk about 'normal' things. Oh dear.

My online nemesis/fellow admin 'bit the hand' one time too many, today... I've now decapitated every single group privilege she previously had. Wanting her old role back for the sake of being a wallflower founder with all of the power and none of the effort, while I and the other hardworking admins ...

There was an honest to god car crash outside my family home today. Some nutter had been speeding down our road, tiny and narrow as most suburban UK roads are, and smashed into our neighbour's car, which was pulling out their drive opposite my house. As a result they then smashed into my dad's parked...

It's a struggle with the memories. Thanks for understanding.

4. Feel generally happy to be seeing a friend today, but privately my anxiety has been on the attack. I'm constantly worrying about the present/future, and tormented by memories from the past. There is no safe place, so I have to work to force my moods into some semblance of order every day, blockin...

Hahahaha... This is what my old group of friends would have referred to as one of my 'one-liners': I swear it's always by accident!

Due to the nearness of Christmas/family gatherings and all that, I've been thinking how it's still only about a year since I learned I had another cousin, in her forties now with a child of her own. She was the daughter of one of my uncles with an old girlfriend. My uncle must have told her more abo...

In my teens when I was deteriorating more rapidly in terms of mental health, throughout the long pauses between school counselling sessions and family problems I began researching mental illness symptoms online, metaphorically a slippery slope to find oneself on! I became convinced for about a year ...

Had a brutally awesome yoga session tonight; think my teacher was trying to insert a bit of ashtanga into our vinyasa, perhaps. Always feel great after her classes, though.

Woke up with an unusual amount of motivation this morning, ready to get some serious uni work done so it's out of the way before Christmas. I've been reading a guide on self motivation/time management recently that suggests you should always, if applicable, tackle the biggest task you are most conce...

Having a new friend around for lunch in the weekend, we're planning on rambling about my local area and then just heading back to the house. Probably sounds too normal to be remarkable in any way, but it is remarkable for me.

Good to hear others like literal humour, too. I used to terribly annoy my ex (haha) by making the worst puns possible, or turning a metaphorical statement literal. I don't know many who actually do enjoy these forms of wordplay, though. Most aren't amused or seem confused/irritated by it.

I used to have an extreme issue with walking in public that stretched the whole expanse of my adolescence and beyond - by my twenties the issue has noticeably lessened, however, but that I know is simply the effect of a great deal of practice managing my social anxiety. The funny thing about my walk...

I'd say, if I don't think too much about it beforehand, that my biggest problem currently is my capacity for sudden disillusionment and depression. I generally will be going along quite neutral and stable for a few days and all of a sudden, I'll have an unpleasant 'thought' or memory pop into my hea...
