My girlfriend's psych started prescribing her Concerta for depression after she tired lots of antidepressants. It helps some but she noticed headaches & excess energy she didn't know what to do with. She takes it every other day now & that works well for her. Everybodies metabolism is diffe...

We don't seem to learn because we're like Charlie Brown when year after year, Lucy smiles and says, "I'll hold the football and you come running up and kick it ... " Then every year, Charlie Brown comes running up, Lucy pulls the football away at the last minute, Charlie Brown falls to th...

Just be wary of tolerance and withdrawal. When I withdrawal from caffeine it feels like ADHD-MAX, but it settles down after a while if I avoid caffeine completely. (Which I just can't seem to do!)

I wish coffee made me a-sexual tbh. But it makes me even more straight than I already am (if you catch my drift).

I don't have any "special" interests. Sometimes my mind can get stuck on something, but it usually doesn't last very long before i'm fed up with it.

No, all aspies are geniuses. If you're an aspie who isn't designing rocket ship engines for NASA, then you're under performing.

I don't "like" being alone. I just can't deal with being around people for a long period of time.

That's probably not the right medical terminology, though. I don't know if it does anything specifically to melatonin, but it's made to keep you awake and melatonin is made to make you fall asleep. Caffeine's molecular structure is similar to that of Adenosine. When Adenosine binds itself to it's r...

Really? These days I assume everybody to be gay.

That makes no sense. Please explain?

Being straight seems to be a minority thing these days. Sometimes I feel like it's just me on my own.

Speaking as someone who is gay, I'm open about it because it frustrates me that people assume everyone around them is straight - heteronormativity. And as someone who is autistic, I'm open about it because: a) people are so unaware of how autism presents in women. There are lots of women out there ...

Although I have not been diagnosed, I have noticed that my body speeds up to match the speed of my brain. Is this normal for people that have been diagnosed with Asperger's/High Functioning Autism? My body becomes overwhelmed by the speed of my brain and tends just to shut down more often than not.

I always felt like it was my fault. Even if I had nothing to do with the situation other than being there to witness it. I still feel this way to a lesser extent when I see somebody cry. I feel like i'm in some way indirectly responsible and feel like I need to get them to stop crying.
