That's stupid. I guess since he's the leader it's their loss that you left, you should find a new group. But still, that's dumb. The problem was with the leader. And he or she is going to make the rest of them worse, not your quotes.

Warning, rant with strong language. I've loved composing and music for a long time, but I suck at both incredibly. I'm one of those really slow types, the ones who can't really learn anything and kind of just get an odd job here and there because I don't have the intelligence for college or school. ...

Welcome to the forums!

And I think that's typical. I've been told so many times that I have no problems and I'm just lazy, dramatic, negative, etc.

actually when i went for testing to figure out my root causes of my school problems and basically my IQ they found that my math skills were fine, BUT my information processing was too slow ( i needed more time to absorb what was being taught) and my verbal skills were lacking as well. basically the...

It's not just the UK either. Most Western European countries are trying to kill their own culture. France being a notable exception. Here is a similar article on Sweden: The Death of Sweden From the desk of Fjordman on Tue, 2007-07-31 08:59 I still get questions as to why I, being Norwegian, write ...

Not a good or bad idea, but they have good intentions. I think by leaving things as they are we will be given a chance to adapt to them, and by catering the world to our needs we will only become more negatively affected when new natural threats present themselves. There are noises, smells, sounds, ...

Just so we can let people know we're liking their posts. Maybe even just the upvote if people don't want to be down voted. Also if added make it so we can toggle whether we're notified or not, so we know who's responding and where, and when we like something someone posts we can let them know that w...

Because we miss a lot of cues that "normal" people use to communicate mood. Like for example, when someone enters a room and is jumping all over the furniture, they'll be labeled something by the subconscious thoughts of another person who is NOT jumping across the room, and labeled anothe...

I don't want to be declared a minority or anything really. ASD is not something I want people to know I have, and it's a bit difficult to hide it, but when I need some sort of explanation for one of my "behaviors" then typically telling them of the diagnosis is an option, and I either get ...

I'm exactly like that. I actually weird people out like hell as well. I spent hours being quiet and suddenly start talking or making jokes. I feel like the odd one out, they treat me like the odd one out. Not a good feeling, definetly one of several secondary-ASD traits I'd like to figure out how to...

The shutdowns are probably the meltdowns. Like NT's we experience emotions and anger but depending on your personality you'll express them in different ways. And by "express" I mean, vent them out or deal with them. I explode with anger as it all spills out at once like a giant vomit, and ...

I have like 12 but they really only fit into 2 categories. For example (these aren't my interests, just fake alias ones) I like many areas of math, but they all fit into math. Additionally, I like applying that math to physics, but then it only involves one area of physics. That's 11 interests invol...

I'm very good, just don't have the patience at all. I pick up languages fast. On the other hand, I seem to crash and burn when I'm rushed at any speed other than my own when it comes to math. I never spend the time on languages that I want to so whenever I do it I end up losing all the stuff I learn...

I'm as utterly disgusted as everyone else. But instead of blaming the country, education system, or anything else, maybe it was truly just the nastiness of those kids. Maybe truly evil people bundle together for security. Sociopaths aren't typically demonstrative of fear, but inside they experience ...

I can relate so much to these posts. I don't know why that specific area, I can't c...

Gosh! I have gotten into recent discussions here with folks about the difference between aspie obsessions, and OCD obsessions. I have had both kinds, and I feel I know the difference. To me they are quite different animals. Aspie obsession are kinda like drug addiction. They take you over because y...
